If he created it correctly and used proper dimensions when he made it, it should fit automatically on the paper when the printer sets up the job.

Anyone working on a Robocop 2 cover? I'd like to be able to separate it from the box set and add it to my copy of Robocop 1.

Can someone help me find a high-res image of this...

minus all the words other than the title... I REALLY want to make this into my custom cover... As I really like that artwork. I just think it looks jumbled.

what do you think of this so far?

it's slightly pink-ey to give it an aged look, and because red was too intense and not as pleasant to look at

Alright, after my pleads for a "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs" cover wasn't immediately answered (lol) I decided to make one of my own...

I like it, sort of... The back cover looks uninspired and unprofessional... I really like the top portion, but after playing with the special features a million times I can't get past my block... I need some help/feedback/input/comments.

Thanks.

I changed the back design of the Disney series so they are just as simple but a little more informative: specs! (Dutch version, but the only diffence is the availability of Dutch audio and subs)
PM for HQ link.

@jam

To me the back seems like you are trying to cram two full back covers into one. Choose one back image and go with that. Then you can provide smaller clip shots of other scenes if you wish. Also have you tried reducing the font size and columining the feature list so they take up the back cover width and not so much length?

I would go with the weather forecast personally and then grab individual images of all the weather crazes and put them each in smaller boxes (well maybe not all of them, 2-4). Then bound the boxes with some sort of frame.

Not sure about the back; maybe a giant meatball in the center, and put the features on it?

Thanks for the input guys.

@Trean: What do you mean "Also have you tried reducing the font size and columining the feature list so they take up the back cover width and not so much length?"

Do you mean taking up the height, vertically opposed to horizontally?

I was originally looking for a scan of the back cover, to repurpose, but refuse to pay any of the cover sites, so it's a bit harder for me to get good resources.

Looks good. I'm guessing it's the remake, as Jason (nor his mask) shouldn't be anywhere near the original, unless it's for a set.

I hate bright red too, but you should try Pantone 1815 C or 1817 C. They both print very nicely, along with their CMYK equivalents.

Good call, I always thought the SEARS photo poster was funnier too

Yeah I know, I've only seen parts 1, 2 and 3, and I'm aware that the hockey mask isn't in it until the third film, and he's not even in it until the second. But It's for sake of a set, I'll probably make one for 2 and 3 at one stage.

Alright. After failing at cover creation i'm wondering if anyone has a scan of the Cloudy cover. I don't need anything custom. Just a printable scan.

Cool. I'm trying something with that (thanks to you) that may work... But i'm still feeling blah on this cover...

Generally i've gone minimalistic, as that's the style of art and writing that I enjoy... But I want to try something outside my box and it's killing me... haha

Back of modded NES Cart:

For those that followed this project, you'll remember my original intention was to just mod the NES cart so the disc fit inside. Little did I realize, standard sized discs wont fit in a NES cart, only mini discs.

So, I disassembled a NES cart. It basically breaks down in half. Cut and sanded all the jabby parts, so it was basically flush along the back half. Then used a DVD case, cut it out on profile, and attached it to the back. It turned out pretty decent. It was a fun project.
You know Edgar Wright posted a picture of this on his twitter?

Yup, I was stoked about that. Also on his blog. It was posted to the official Scott Pilgrim vs the World Facebook page, and over at Kotaku.com as well.

I had a s**t ton of fun doing the Scott Pilgrim NES box, so much in fact that it's left me inspired to step on from custom covers and start doing custom packages for movies. My next project is going to be a Harry Potter Complete Collection boxed set. I LOVED the trunk set they released, but hated that it wasn't complete. The castle set was cool, but just not for me. So I'm drawing on inspiration from the trunk set, and this is going to be in the style of a large library book, hopefully looking like something you might find at Hogwarts. Waiting for the box to arrive, then off to mod it and set it up to hold discs. In the meanwhile, here's a sneak peek at art that will be used for the front:
