Anyone recomend a AVI / WMA to MPEG converter? - Blu-ray Forum

Hey there,

On my PS3, using a media server, can view and play video clips from my PC, but only MPEGs, all my .avi and .wmv files won't play on the PS3.

Anyone know of a good, preferably free and simple but useful converting software?

I did a search but found lots of ones that were either expensive, or I questioned if it was valid software and not some kind of backdoor virus.

What media server are you using? I've been using Nero Media Home since I got the console and AVIs are the only format that don't always seem to play. I recently dnloaded TVersity and have been testing. The load time is a bit quicker than Nero and it also plays MOVs which Nero has a problem doing. But I still have problems playing some AVIs.
