Thanks, sir! They almost got replaced a few weeks ago... ended up keeping them. I really like the sound with music (2-ch) now since getting the USP-1 and ERC-1 combo. Seems the weak link for music was my pre-pro.

I have thought of going with a dedicated Pre-Pro to add to the ERC-1 I have , But the SC-07 does such a good job I don't know if it would be better .

There's still a chance you'll get one if it comes from FedEx. Although I usually get an invoice from Janna the same day as the shipping, I usually don't get the FedEx shipping information (the one that actually is sent by FedEx) until 7:30pm (PT).

Do Not Paint The Stand Black You will loose everything in it . My comment was in Fun . The stand allows everything to stand out !!!

I've heard nothing but good things about the DAC and the analog sections in the Pio SC line. After witnessing an Elite power some Magnepan 1.6s at moderate volume at a hi-fi shop, I have to agree. Most importantly I wouldn't change anything if you like the sound.

Yeah I know you were kidding. Part of the reason why I'm being lazy is precisely because of what you said. I'm worried that if I did paint it black everything would like like a big black box. It could be good or bad so I'm taking my time in deciding.

Gotta agree... the SC-07 is a beast. I really don't see myself changing my Elite in the near future. It sounds incredible and looks DAMN sexy !!

That solves that Problem & thanks red I agree with the philosophy of if it sounds good why change it

It would be cool having it all black for "lights out" watching/listening, but overall I prefer a would finish with black gear. I think it looks great as-is!

You should check out some darker colored unit... like the Espresso color I got for my new rack. Blends in really nice with black gear... look at amp74's system also, he recently picked up the same rack. Ships under $400.

The SC-07 has been such a great receiver for everything I ask of it which believe it or not is not much since I bought the thing & already had all the amps . I think I ran the Surr. Rears off it for a month . Otherwise I have not used the Ice amps in it . It does do a dam fine job at decoding & the music from the ERC-1 is wonderful sounding .

I almost went with the ERC-1 when I was looking for a new player. But I wasn't big on the idea of importing certain things in from the USA at that time. In case something wasn't working right and all the hassles of shipping back. So I grabbed the Marantz. Still very happy with it but I always liked the look of the ERC. Sleek and sexy!
