My thoughts exactly. It's my understanding that the HD-DVD copy of Transformers has identical audio to the DVD version. I think you might've understood wrong. The Dolby Digital-Plus track isn't a port from the DVD, it's an actual 1.5mbps track compared to the 448kbps on the DVD.
