If they were charging more for the movies I could see that but they are not. And there are many people that have just bought their first player and have dvd players in every room of the house as well in the car. So that makes it a better value for most and helps in adoption not hurts.

Even though we have our standalone BD player in the living room & a PS3 in the bedroom, we still have a standard DVD player in the bedroom as well. I refuse to use a game console as a movie player (I never used one as a CD player either), so for all intents & purposes, our bedroom movie machine is a DVD player. At night, I like to put a DVD in, hit repeat & fall asleep (for some reason I can't fall or stay asleep in silence). So until I get a player with title repeat for the bedroom, I still play DVDs. Heck, I still buy DVDs when I see a great price, when something's not available on BD or when I know it's something I'll want to put on at night. Truth be told, I probably watch more DVDs than BDs to this day.
