Default LG's Dual Format high-def player seems legit

I just visited Bestbuy.com's blu-ray page and was shocked to see that they are displaying the new LG blu-ray/hd dvd player (m/n BH100) as coming soon. Everyone check it out!!!

Nice find. Now, the bad news. It's listed at $1200. Could be a deal killer.

That certainly doesn't play along very well with the HD-DVD propoganda of "We're the cheapest so we're the best."

It will flop hard at that price. A2 can be had for 350, PS3 for 500. 850, and you can play games on the PS3 and upconvert on the A2. I dont see anyone other then newcomers wanting it, and even then, why not buy the A2/PS3 combo instead.

I can see it already. This thing is going to have so many glitches it's not even funny. 2x formats = 2x the problems.

I would never buy any L(ucky)G(oldstar) electronics, that brand should have died years ago with their below-par quality. If they were still called Lucky Goldstar people would never get that stuff.

On the BD/HD DVD side, you can get two standalones (Samsung + HD-A2) for less money than this one standalone, that makes no sense to me.
