Kickass 3D.

While I liked previous 2 ones, this one was way too over the top for its discusting experiments. I just wanted to throw out.

Didint feel anything other than disgust.

F@#@#$ this movie.

0/5.

I could NEVER rank them in order. Ever. But I could make a list of Films I loved.....or "favorites". I dont have one so I better get busy.

Yeah, but I love 3D.
And 3D didnt have anything to do with it. It was just discusting movie.
I really like their non-disgusting jokes though (like the Rocky one)

Why not? Don't you enjoy some movies over others? Try what bearcat recommended. It's like what I do. Make a scrambled list of movies you adore first, then rank them from there.

Unless you associate favorite too closely with best. Then I see your trouble. My list should be a good representation of the difference between the two (your favorite films can be whatever you want them to be, like your favorite color )

I was talking about the title, not the 3D effect. You wrote Kickass was disgusting. I assume you meant Saw 3D, not Kickass 3D. Do I have the right?

If I were to do that, the list would changes daily with my mood. I know that I liked "A" a lot better than "B", so that easy. But there are quite a few films that I rank super highly and they would all be doing battle for 2nd place. In my head there would be a tie with about 20 films involved.

I just imagined all your movie covers fighting each other with swords and shields. My lists tend to be dynamic too from time to time but I often avoid that by establishing set criteria. I'm still interested though, ranked or unranked. Do you separate best and favorite as well?

I have a lot of favourite movies - see collection size, I can sometimes differentiate between favourite and best. It is hard to do, since it's not always possible to be objective about a movie you don't like still being good.

I would be forced to do this because I LOVE some bad movies, but I can also dislike a movie that I thought was a brilliant piece of work.

I could make a top favorite 100 or 150, but there is no way I could make a top 25. I'd look at a couple farther down and say "Oh no...no no no...you are good enough to be top 25 for sure...but WHICH one do I bump off?" I'd drive myself nuts trying to be "fair" or "accurate". Which strikes me as odd because in business, relationships, and life in general I am very decisive and somewhat opinionated. To the point that indecisive people annoy me. I'm a freak.

This is too funny. I am attending a lecture by this author in a few hours

Any requests for questions? It's a pre-lecture private discussion for honors students.

He wasn't a mod last year, he just became one either this spring or this summer, can't remember exactly when. Cannot get over how good Batman Begins is, hoping Dark Knight Rises is as good.

I think you just really love movies. You can be entertained easily. Just raise the bar higher. Come up with a small list of the elite. A "6/5" on your scale, so to speak.

LOL I'll have to think about that after work, I know my top 10 in 2008 was the 6 SWs, LoTR and TDK, pretty sure the 10th now would be Avatar.

Perhaps. What type of book is that? A "help" book, or an anaysis on the "whys"?
