That's the problem. IDs always point to US titles

when they have multiples titles like: US (French) (German) system "thinks" it's a no-match

When browsing through the new feature 'Recommendations' I found several films I am 100% sure I have previously added when I purchased them.
Anyone else experience this ?

Found so far:
-The Fall
-Harts War
-Survival of the dead
-Pink Panther 2
-Ghostbusters

I am having the same issue with titles being recommended that I have as Canadian releases.

Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist
Batman: The Motion Picture Anthology
The Lord of the Rings: The Motion Picture Trilogy (I have steelbook set)

Those are the few I came across quickly.

Also I notice when looking through recommendations if you are on say page 3 and then select a different genre to view and hit update, the new recommendations come up but stay on page 3 instead of defaulting back to the page 1 of recommendations.

Lastly, when looking at Animation recommendations it gives me 3 page options, but only the first page has anything on it, when I hit next to go to page 2 or 3 they are blank. It did not do this when I went through Action and Horror recommendations.

Oh and I just saw the post above, I thought it was strange as I had to add some movies to my collection as well that I was sure were there before as I add them as I buy them.

Allow me to contribute a little bit.

Master movie IDs = internal number

Recommendations will be a feature always matching internal ID, and never another database field.

Some movie IDs got the same EAN all around the world. It means they are done by a studio, even if they got different press factories in the world, and they got the same EAN (most music/concert editions)

#1 - Prob is when searching for a particular concert and you got 4 or more links that point to Amazon "editions" all around the world. It will be easier to point to different Amazon stores in the same movie page, cause specs/case are the same.

#2 - Most movies got different EANs (those should got different movie pages, cause specs/casing etc.. are really different, and most important, edition/distribution are made by different companies. That's why they got different EANs, even if they are pressed in the same factory.

My 2 cents to see EAN exclusives, and not the same EAN in database for the same edition, in different countries.

Maybe i'm wrong in my reasoning. Corrections are welcome.

Just playing around with the Recommendations feature, and I gotta say I really, really like it. I had forgotten all about the Chris Botti: Boston disc and it came to light in the Music search.

Question though: Do the recommendations only include current releases? Can future "announced" releases be included as well? i.e. John Lennon: NYC?

They are because I re-added them as I found them. So before writing the post.. Too many movies ? I dont understand the question
