dude! i'm so stoked about the new Tron movie!! i loved the original one and when i heard that they were doing a remake i nearly wet myself. i've been trying to find everything i can on it. so far i've found a poster, a pre-order for the soundtrack with daft punk!, and a music video. sorry i'm just a little obsessed lol, anyone else excited?

Yea, for sure. I'm thinking this is going to be one slick package. Looking forward to everything, 3D, sound/music, visuals, Big Screen...I was too young to see the original on big screen.

Just came from the Tron Night and it was disappointing. The scenes shown were quite slow and quiet, totally uninteresting. Lacked of Daft Punk's awesome soundtrack. Hopefully the film it self won't be a disappointment.

Probably when in the context of the film they won't seem slow or quiet, because there'll be other action sequences going on around it, and they may also make more sense.

Probably. Those scenes were from the first half of the film anyway and included about 5 minutes of "real life" which is in 2D.

Just got back from the preview and i thought i was pretty awesome. The 3D was epic. Olivia Wilde looked amazing. The Light Disc fight was pretty sweet. The 20 mins went by way to fast.

Just got home from Tron Night. The preview was 23 minutes long. It setup the plot of the story. It was awesome!

I was stoked before but now I just can't wait!!!

I would have to ask you if you saw the same thing i saw!? (i know you did see the same clips)... I thought it was awesome! I felt like the scenes they decided to show us were carefully chosen in the aspect of it gave us some of the details that were needed to get us interested. I walked into the preview only really seeing a trailer a couple times and I walked out fricking excited, and wishing it was December already.

isn't the new film set inside a different computer system to the original?
A hidden system in Flynn's old arcade, not the Encom mainframe?

This is definately a different server. What we do not know is if it is linked to the Encom server. We don't know if we will see ported program characters, upgraded on the new server.
