It really does suprise how many in the US don't actually know the story of Guy Fawkes, because I thought it was well known everywhere, even if it isn't celebrated, and as I'm typing this right now I can hear fireworks going off.

I'll probably being going to a fireworks display tomorrow, because our garden is so small you it would be extremely dangerous to set off any.

I wish I could be there right now. Sounds exhilerating!

Interesting read.

I might have to watch V For Vendetta tonight. Such a great movie. IIRC I watched it on the 5th of November last year. Hopefully I can squeeze in the time to watch it this evening.

Still can't believe Natalie didn't even garner any major award nods for this, it's one of her best performances to date.

Happy I can share some info with everyone. I have watched the movie two times now. Really wanting to hit 4 times for the day. I shot some fireworks off last year. Nothing really big but still able to get some off. Next year I will try to save some big ones from July 4th.

I absolutely love this movie and just finished my annual watching of it. Until I saw V I had never even heard of Guy Fawkes.

I think the final scenes of the movie are some of the most powerful moments on film, it never fails to get me to tear up a bit watching the end.
