Get the region-free UK import of Highlander which will play on any American BD player. The video encodes are identical, but Lionsgate decided to drop the audibly superior 2-channel mix, which the UK import still contains. The 5.1 soundtrack is a remix that sounds awful.

thanks Clark about audio mix! i'm a HUGE audiophile for films and this is VERY important to me =).

that alone seals the deal for me.

besides, i know that the next edition of these films will be YEARS AWAY... so rather get them now and maybe upgrade whenever the next ed. are out =). but meanwhile can enjoy the the nice 2ch. mix WITH bonus extras. thanks peepz!

Cheapest UK version is $27.04 (shipped @ ACC exchange rate) at Amazon UK; even the "Commemorative 6-Disc Gift Set in Tin Box" (isn't that ALL versions of BoB?) is $29.71.

Edit: Only advantage to this is it ships from the US--but I paid slightly less for the US version at Target when they had it on sale.

Kept about 15, sold 8 to a friend and traded the rest to the used cd store for $170 store credit. So, for about $60- I got 15 blu's, a black wii system, and Dead Rising 2 PS3-
