It may seem like a trivial payment, but in the case of Sony, Immersion decided to ask for back-payment for the sum-total of $175m or something just as ridiculous. Sony, quite rightly, told where to go.

It's not a trival amount. I agree. When you look at it as a microtransaction scale, it may seem trivial, but it's still a 2$ price increase. That the consumer is going to have to pay, ultimately.
