Blu-ray on PS3 and X-Box 2. ...Halo 3 in widescreen?

Graphic templates must be of a higher quality and resolution. You must display info for a 16:9 screen, and not 4:3. This takes much more CPU and memory power. Can you say, "Halo 3"?

Even so, X-BOX 2 and PS3 will probably still have games released on DVD only. CD will be too small, and blu-ray is overkill. Blu-ray is there to play movies....not so much games. These things are craved by High School and College students who will not have the budget, or room, for BOTH a gaming system and blu-ray player.

First person shooters are some of the most popular games. It is HIGH TIME we start seeing them in widescreen.

1) Most Games on PS2 and Xbox are on DVD.... Xbox games are on DVD since day one. PC games also come on DVD. I highly think that X2 will either use a HD-DVD format but it will be properitery. I think that only PS3 will have Blu-ray and maybe N5.

2)Bigger and more immersive games are what the business is about ..... PS3 games will be about 4- 5 times bigger than PS2's.... Imagine a grandtheft Auto on PS3 :shock:

3) Initaily yes but those games will not be HD at 1080i or p since BD is made for HDTV so I think that it will not feel the same and DVD's will get phased out quicker.
