Why so freaking late? I need this blu-ray way sooner than that.

That's 4 months, which is about average.

Look at the quick turnaround for The Town and Devil, among others. I mean this is my most anticipated movie and I was hoping Hammer would get it out for the Christmas rush.

Hence the word "average".

What would everyone like to see feature wise on the Blu-ray? For me the deleted scenes are a must.

Consider this. For a movie that bombed at the B.O thats pretty late.

As crazy as this may sound, I really got more into this version than with Let The Right One In. Both are fantastic, but IMO Let Me In is far more entertaining to seat through.

The original film.

Actually, I enjoyed this version (both young leads were very good), though I do prefer the original. I wonder if a feature on the return of Hammer Films might be included? It was neat to see the new logo on the big screen.

Three months would still put it in the first week of January. I've not noticed any movies coming out faster than three months. A before Christmas release would put it at 2.5 months, and that's pretty much unheard of. At least it's not 5+ months like some other movies.

It only just came out in the UK, so maybe that has something to do with it?

Probably not. There's tons of movies that just came out in the US that the UK already has annouced for Blu-ray. This movie only came out at the beginning of October

I'm really surprised by how many liked this movie after people were complaining about how they were remaking it. I have Let the Right One In but I haven't watched it yet, this one I'll probably blind buy also.

It's terrific, I'm guessing you'll think so as well.

I can't wait to see this movie as I missed it in theaters but I hope we get an extended version or uncut version as I heard the movie needed one.

Ever heard of that Ben Affleck movie titled Surviving Christmas? Well it was released to DVD just nine weeks after it opened in theaters.

Happy for the release date
Sad that it's so far

Hope there's a commentary, deleted scenes, and featurettes

I said pretty much. Look, I don't pick the release dates. I just let people know when they are sometimes. A simple thank you will suffice. It's common knowledge that release dates are about 4 months on average. That means 4 months give or take. Could be 3 months, could be six months or more depending on the movie. I'm not sure why you guys want to debate about how long it takes for movies to come out, something which I have absolutely zero control over. And no, Leo, I've never heard of that movie, and one movie does not an average or trend make.

Where was that mention at? Anyhow, is all cool Im not even trying to argue am just doing a simple comment and making a point that for a movie that bombed terribly at the Box Office (considering its 20 million prod. budget). February is kind of late Home Video release, thats all..... I just mentioned Surviving Christmas because both movies basically earned about the same amount in sales receipt (15 million) and both were released in theaters in the same month, of course one being much better than the other. But you seem to be taking it personal? This isn't your fault if thats what your thinking. Overture (Starz) were kinda late with the release, it could've easily been released mid December.
