Mine shipped along with Modern Times. But I just checked the UPS tracking and this is what it said...

SHIPPER TENDERED THE SHIPMENT TO UPS AFTER THE LATEST PICKUP TIME FOR THE REQUESTED SERVICE. A DAY DELAY IS LIKELY.

Lame. It's to the point where I can only order from Criterion.com.

EDIT: It works via Firefox but not IE.

Headin' out to Eden. Yeah, brother.

Did you order Sherlock Jr. through B & N?

I didn't get my copy yet and I ordered it to the store...I wonder if I/we will see it this week?

Damn, I just received word that B&N cancelled my in-store order for Modern Times. Guess I'm done for the sale now.

I just got the delayed shipment notice for my Modern Times. Grrr. I ordered in store last week with the free expedited member shipping...guess "expedited" is not in their vocabulary.

I know I asked this before but i really didn't get a response. On amazon I noticed it says ships in 1 to 3 weeks for the blu ray criterion of chungking express. Does anyone know if that means in the near future it might be going out of print. I just got that and modern times from the barnes and noble sale and I was just curious if the chungking was going out of print in the near future if anyone knows

All that means is that they are either very low on stock or are completely out, awaiting arrival of shipment to replenish their stock.

Very nice! I know I'm not gonna get there by the end of this sale, but I'm at least happy with how close I've gotten. I've more than doubled the amount I had before the sale.

On a 'What should I watch tonight' note, I'm debating between The Red Shoes, Merry Christmas, Mr. Lawrence, M, and Gomorrah. Any suggestions? I'm not in a particularly great or angry mood, so how I feel shouldn't have any significance on what I watch.

I watched both over the weekend and I definitely liked them both and plan on rewatching them (I particularly want to check out the extras and commentary tracks on Breathless - in fact, I watched one of the interviews right after the main feature and I never do that).

That said, I'm glad I got them on sale.

Paths of Glory felt like an absolute steal at $14. These two felt just about right at the same price.

*shrug*

I think it means it's on back-order and could be in anywhere from 1 to 3 weeks.

I received Modern Time but no Sherlock Jr. as well

I was surprise on the box for Modern Time. How do Criterion decide what package they will use for releasing a movie? So far all of my Criterion Blu-ray have all been in the plastic case except for Seven Samurai. Is it the number of discs or the size of the booklet that shape the type of package they will use?
I expected to have one of those cardboard cases since I decided to order The Last Emperor but it was cancel by B&N. Too bad I was curious to see what they look like.

Barnes and Nobles lists my order as shipped. But UPS says they still have yet to pick it up.

I see, just mostly blind luck that all my Criterion purchases were of the single type disc... I just don't buy all of them like so many of you.
