I would give the i5 or i5.3 a try as Simaudio will allow upgrades, and they are 10 years warranty and are indeed amazing products.
Yes they have amazing stuff

I heard the I-5 Is awsome but Its only 80 watts
80 watts has nothing to do with the fact that it won't give you the low end you are looking for.

80 watts could be very surprising sometimes, anyhow I would bring thos veritas to the dealer and try them on several IA.

I heard a 40 watt Integrated Amp that puts to shame many other Integrated amps with much more power. Quality watts is far more important then quantity.

I don't want to say get a receiver that will allow you to change X-over per pair of speakers, that would be too easy and it would not help you now, maybe down the road.

What you could do is set manually your X-over on your sub to 50hz and raise the volume a bit since the CF-30 go down to 43hz +/-3 db, it would not be a big range of overlap, you could have big peaks at times but who knows.

Try this and see what comes out of it.
Thanks for that. I'll be playing around with settings like what you've suggested.

I might as well ask another question: I have the Energy ESW-C8 subwoofer. My dad does as well. With mine about 1/5 of the dust cap isn't glued on to the diaphragm (it's coming off by a mm or just under a mm), whereas the rest is glued on tightly to the diaphragm. There's only a one year warranty by Energy on subwoofers, and I no longer have my box incase this is an issue (futureshop doesn't take no-box returns). I figure this isn't a common question, but possibly you'd know whether this is bad or not? My dad has had his for a year, and I just took a look at his... he has this problem as well, on part of the dust cap, but less of it. I'm worried that with prolonged use, the subwoofer diaphragm will shake, and the part that isn't glued tightly will cause more glue to come off from the dust cap. I don't know? Maybe I'll just wait and see what happens (I just don't want to invest another $200 on a subwoofer a year down the line! that would suck).

Energy should have a warranty on the sub, call them and see.

I guess until January 3rd (when Futureshop allows returns because of the holiday sales), I could just buy a new one of the same sub, and return this one back in the packaging. Since I bought it from them, if it's bad, then it'll be fine that way.

But I'm just not sure if it's a big deal that the dust cap isn't fully glued on. It's mostly glued, but I don't know if having part of the dust cap not glued properly will become an issue. I guess I'll phone Energy (I emailed them 3 days ago but they haven't gotten back to me).

Do you know how Klipsch F-3's compare to that?

Ugh... I just missed out on an awesome deal. I threw away my packaging on my CF-30's so they're not returnable... but I found Klipsch F-3's in store on clearance for $225 a piece. Like jeez cheap! I didn't buy them though since I just got my cf-30's.

the F-3s to the RC-70s? The RCs are in a class all by themselves. They list at $1100 each. The RC-70s were just recently replaced by the Veritas line.

Even tho Klipsch now owns Energy, I still think that Energy overall is a better designed and engineered company. Energy is the one side of their company they haven't tried to change to much(yet), as they have a very long and excellent legacy.

Well that's good to hear! Makes me feel great about choosing to stick with Energy.

Bleh now if I can only get over repositioning my speakers My RC-Minis have much clearer mids and highs as compared to my CF-30's. So when I listen to some tracks, I want my RC-Minis to be playing as left/right. And then in others I want the CF-30's playing left/right. Hah.

I should ask: By using the treble+ settings on my receiver (treble at 0 is default, I can go up to +6 on treble in increments of 2), well by setting the treble to +4 it makes the speakers actually sound much crisper and helps pick out some of the sounds that can get a little mudded down. Can messing with the treble settings cause any problems with the speakers (ie. heating / power issues)?

No.

However, adjusting the treble to too high a level can cause listener fatigue.

I noticed the Take Classic 5.1 is $400 on Amazon. Do you think this is a worthy upgrade over my Polk RM6750?

It would be an upgrade but really with sat systems, they can only get so good. I dont know how much better itd be tho. Personally for $400 I think youd be better getting the CF-30s at vanns.com, using the polks as surrounds then save until you can get a CC-10 center.

Im kind of restricted with space for floorstanding. I wouldnt mind piecing together a center and 2 fronts also.

Oh yes I see

Try then the CB5 bookshelf $180 & the CC5 Center $199, small and compact, but they should offer a pretty decent upgrade for you and respect your limited space

In your opinion, would speakers or a higher line model of Receiver improve my current setup?

much better off with speakers first. Go with the CB-5s at amazon $170 and the CC-5They will offer the most improvement over a receiver upgrade. Your speakers are the most limiting part of your setup. they can only do so much, and receiver upgrade will still be limited by the speakers they are powering. The Dynamic range of the 6750s is not very good and only extend to about 120 hz, where is where you need to set your crossover, The Energys play to 71 hz and will allow you to set an 80-90 hz crossover and therefore means there is less chance of you localizing the bass and the sound will be more seemless.

Upgrading your receiver will not eleminate the issues of your satelite speakers.

Right now, a better speaker would help more than upgrading your recever and keeping the same sat system. I say go for the speakers.

As callas said the CB5 and CC-5 are a great alternative and later down the road you could upgrade the receiver but you will notice a difference right away.

I concur with Steve and Olivier about the speakers.
