I guess I'd have to know what it is about those particular films that have you considering them. Seven Samurai is one I couldn't live without, and The 400 Blows is a story that still relates today. As for 8 1/2, Fellini is somewhat polarizing, so if you've seen other Fellini works, then it's a no brainer.... if not, I wouldn't go into his works blindly.

The most "universally" accepted title Criterion has released on Blu-ray thus far, would probably be "The Thin Red Line" and it is quite possibly the best looking/sounding Blu-ray I own..... it really is amazing. Many comparisons are made to it and Saving Private Ryan, and I won't say one is better or worse..... But if you enjoyed SPR, then TTRL is a must......

I have nothing but the utmost respect for your collection. 10/10

I wish I had all of those Criterions myself. So many I need to get my hands on.

9/10 Aside from some of the animation & concert films, I either have, or want most of your collection. I'd give you 10/10 but have to take away a point for having The Boondock Saints in your collection.

Honestly, I do enjoy it but my fiance likes it a whole lot more than I do. When we went shopping for a new TV, believe it or not she is the one that wanted to go 3D. I guess in that sense I'm a lucky guy to have a girl that is as much into home theater as I am.

Wow! A fiance that likes Blu-ray 3D. That's a first. You are one lucky guy to have her as your fiance.

Awesome collection, man. A vast number of Criterions that I so dearly want and the rest is not too shabby either. I thought it was kind of interesting that of all things you had a Norwegian import of Max Manus. For some reason that seemed out of place. Good movie though. We have very similar tastes.

That is one of very few non-imports for me actually, I live in Norway

Oh awesome. Just noticed that. Sorry.

Wow, so nearly 100% of your collection is imported? That's pretty impressive.

Yeah, I can't stand the translated norwegian titles we get here. Also, there are reviews of most region A releases so it's easier to know if the release is any good. I just don't trust the norwegian releases

Ya, I don't blame you. I don't know if I could trust their releases either.

Better safe than sorry. Still, to have as many Criterions as you do and imported as well? That must've cost you a pretty penny.
