I just saw that my local Best Buy is selling the HP giftset cheaper than Warner with the 25%. It's there for $79.99

They mispriced it with the DVD set then. I'd grab it while you still have the chance

Regular price is $129 and the sale price is $105

Take the plastic top piece off and remove the ribbon. The ribbon will fit around all 5 movies and 2 blu cases

The cases are as sturdy as a hardback book, but just toss it in a spare keepcase if you're worried about lending it out
I think what really bothers me is the different sizes of the cases. The first two movies are jewel case sized. While the others are almost normal DVD case sized. Just feels clumsy. A very nice set, just put together a bit odd.

I don't like it either to be honest. I see the artistic thing they were going for, but I think given the choice I would have valued uniformity

I watched a little bit of the first one. The opening to Sorceror is as horribly grainy and badly exposed as I remember it theatrically

What about the rest of the movie? What would you rate the video quality?

I wish someone would please give me their impressions of the video quality of the first 4 movies. I bought the box set today but if the video quality isn't that good I'll take it back.

The DVDs are indeed supposed to be DVDs, I'm pretty certain. As far as the return of the Phoenix HD-DVD, I have no idea how you should address that---email whvcustserv@emsi.echomail.com and ask, I guess.

And if you live in the US, Blade Runner isn't due out until next week.

Mine was delivered via UPS Next Day Air yesterday, and my box was the same exact size at the HP set. Plus it seems to look like a box made specifically for the set for when it ships to retail, if they do ship them individually, instead of multiples in a bigger box. Plus on the outside of the shipping box had the UPC of the Limited Edition set.

Has anybody has the courage enough to put the HD dvd disc in a blu ray player, perhaps they messed up the printing on the disc and it is a blu ray disc.

This has the makings of a Saturday Night Live sketch:

A factory where multiple languages are used
Management and IT are working to diagnose computer issues
Piles of Blu-ray, HD-DVD, and DVD disks are brought into packaging

Bill Gates, dressed as the other workers pipes in with a fake spanish accent, "I don't know man, they all look round to me." and proceeds to lead the sorting process.

Ewww..I don't even like holding the thing. ; I already emailed Warner. Thanfully it is not the newest movie. Still a royal FU. I have a box set with a DVD, Blu-rays and an HD-DVD. I am sure this is going to be widespread...

Warner! Go Blu and this won't happen!
