quote
"Blu-ray player shipments will reach 16.4 million units this year, up 82.2% from 9.1 million units in 2009, iSuppli estimated. The extraordinary growth will slow, but still remain at rates exceeding 50% for the next two years, after which expansion will moderate and level off, iSuppli reported. By 2014, Blu-ray shipments will amount to 68.9 million, nearly eight times their 2009 level, according to the company's estimates." http://www.edn.com/article/511757-Bl...ue_recover.php |

Blu-ray Guru

With falling player prices and so many titles available for $10 or even less, people will begin to take a little more notice of Blu-ray movies. Curiosity will continue to grow, more will act on it, and BDs may eventually become a staple in most homes.
Ahh, remember the "good ol' days" when the movies were few and cost a lot more money? When it was more surprising to see/meet others who were embracing the format? Life is good. ![]() |

Agreed, though I still feel Blu will never come anywhere close (in regards to overall market saturation) to what DVD did.
