It's an extremely half-ass measure and no substitute for a playoff. Just another title game between #1 and #2 in the polls after the Bowl games. I really hope they don't bother with it as it might just delay an ineitable legit playoff system.

That's pretty naive. Far more likely that in 2014 they will come up with a new formula, promise everyone that this will be the formula to end all formulas, and contract this new formula as "the system" until 2024.

The inaugural New Era Pinstripes Bowl at Yankee Stadium is set, as Kansas State and Syracuse have accepted invitations. I wish more bowls would do this. As a Big 10 fan I have no idea why we can't find out now who is going to bowls. All the teams are done playing, and we know Wisconsin and Ohio State are going to BCS bowls, so why not just say that Michigan State is going to the Capital One bowl and announce who will be playing in the Outback, Gator, and Insight Bowl?

Sure we would, be funny if some kid ran in for 6 and started to celebrate and ran into the end zone wall.

I wasn't a fan of the offenses constantly going in the same direction, it was highly irritating. Every time possession changed, everyone had to switch sides.

Notre Dame vs. Army last month was at Yankee Stadium. I watched part of the game and there was no problem with end zones. There's a good deal more room for football there than at Wrigley.

I never really hated them. They just annoy me since they get so much national attention despite practically never being relevant. I only watched a little of their boring game against Army to check out the novelty of a football game being played at Yankee Stadium.

I get tired of Notre Dame too, and it is my wife's college football team of choice so I get stuck watching a lot of their games. I will say this though, I think they have the right coach in there now to get back to being a perennial quality team. Charlie Weiss was a flat out bad hire, unfortunately he is a much better offensive coordinator than he is head coach.

LA Tech is beating Nevada, could be a letdown after the biggest win in the history of their program.

Hoping South Carolina beats Auburn and Oregon State beats Oregon, would throw a huge wrench into the BCS rankings. Nevada has tied up the LA Tech game, come on LA Tech!

Auburn got on the scoreboard in a heartbeat against SoCa. Not exactly the start that Spurrier envisioned for his team, I'm sure.

Not sure why BSU is going to the trouble of mauling USU, it's not like a big win will move them far enough up the rankings for it to matter.

It sounds interesting enough, but I actually would like to see Oregon and Auburn play each other for the national title.

Even if both are 1 loss teams? I think Oregon is a lot better than Auburn anyway so not sure it would be this incredible game everyone expects.
