Everything is done through facial expressions and gestures, it is one of many factors that make this film so special. The cinematography is also quite incredible. And no, this is not a musical or anything of that nature

No, I understood it's not a musical. It sounds a bit like Mongol, which I really enjoyed, but without the dialog & subtitles - I was really drawn to the cinematography in that one (the wonderful Universal UK release with AVC video & DTS Master Audio, not the mediocre New Line US release with VC-1 & Dolby Digital)

Thank you for this thread, I love French movies and was happy to discover some very good ones are on region free blu ray discs! I will order several for sure: MR 73, La Haine, Le Dernier Combat, maybe even the extended cut of Walk the Line! Please keep posting updates!
