The first one was great, a true classic. The second was absolutely horrible. In fact, it just may be (IMHO) the worst sequel ever made. The third was okay until that ridiculous ending where (what seemd like) the entire U.S. armed forces came up out of the water. If this comes as a boxed set at first, I too will wait, even though I really, really want the original.

Well I just watched Jurassic Park the other day on one of my HD channels and it looked awesome. My guess is companies try to entice people to buy blu-rays of a movie by showing it on TV before they release it, so I hope it comes out sooner than later. I would definitely buy the trilogy.

I agree the book was TEN TIMES better, but as far as worse sequel I would have to give it to The Blair Witch 2: Book of Shadows in my opinion.

I liked all JP films, 1, 2 and 3.

Not sure why the hate on J2.
I really enjoyed the TRex action on the motor home.

J3 is my fav of all.
I think it has alot more going on and I always watch it when it comes on TV.

Ill buy the trilogy day 1.

I own the Adventure Pack with all three films. It'd be nice if they did something like that with the Blu-Rays.
I love JP3 and the first film equally. Lost World is good until they bring the T-Rex to the city. That really wasn't needed, IMO.

I really hope that if/when they release the trilogy, they'll sell the individual movies separately (at least not too long afterward).

Agreed...if history repeats itself, it shouldn't be too long. I am done buying trilogies that I don't like all three movies.

Godfather 1 and 2 came out about 1.5 years after the trilogy

Matrix came out 5-6 months after the trilogy

Ocean's 11 came out 5-6 months after the trilogy

My cousin stole my Jurassic Park boxset, this thing can't come soon enough!

I hope they do a similar packaging design as the last DVD release.

I hope they're in normal BD cases. I can't stand that ridiculously large Adventure Pack DVD packaging.

Then again, I can't even say I'd buy a box set, since the first one is the only one I have any use for.

I probably will too, eventually... Just to have the set. But I definitely will not rush out & buy a box set, especially if it's in some ridiculous packaging. The original will be a day-1 for me (if I can get it by itself), but I'll wait on 2 & 3 until they hit the $10 rack at Wally-World.

Some people are so picky, I liked 2...I thought 3 was mostly tripe though.

While not a fan of either, I thought 3 was far better than 2 (until 3's ridiculous ending). For me to call 2 garbage would be an insult to the stuff in my wastebasket. At least that stuff had a use at one time.

I'm conflicted on this one.

Part of me wants a "trilogy" pack and if its the trilogy releasing first, I'd want to buy it day one.

Then, I'd want the individual 1 and 2, if the packaging art is as cool or cooler than the individual DVD releases. I dont so much care about having III with its own case and art.
