I don't think it's real anyways. Fugitive Kind/Z would be the 1st films to have gone back and done a blu of after they have done blu releases. If so, I'll be pissed because Dillinger is Dead should get the same, since they would of had to go back and get the rights to Fug Kind's blu release, when Dillinger is a Janus film and should be easy to release.

Yeah I don't know how much I believe out of that post. I would rebuy Z (Very under-rated film It gets better with each viewing and The Fugitive Kind in a heartbeat on BLU... but I think it would be better for a Cassavetes BLU Box Set instead of the single titles...but I'd bite at any.

Hey CG!...How much of a coincidence is this? I'm listening to a "Prog Rock" Internet radio station right now and they are playing The Velvet Underground. Specifically "Venus in Furs".
Very nice, you mature/punk/rebel.

Well, it's not so much that you need to believe him. He's telling the truth in what he saw on HighDef Digest's website. It's them I would question. There's probably a plethora of questionable titles on that list of movies that have either been rumored or announced w/no specific release date

Yes...or a Bergman set, for that matter. Though there are already (2) Bergmans on blu and no Cassavetes yet.

No, Simpsons is so bad a$$. Seriously. Corny would of been a Family Guy avatar. Thats if you can make yourself into a Family Guy cartoon.

How about the title : Chris Nolan Vs. Alain Resnais

Nolan can't touch Resnais even with Bat gadgets. But anyways, I don't understand the comparisons. People say Inception is a thinker, maybe because the millions of people that went and thought they were watching a summer blockbuster (which they were), sees stuff like Transformers and Spider-man. Inception is spelled out for you, because Hollywood movies doesn't want you to not know whats going on. Always spelled out for you. They want your money, why piss people off? Last Year at Marienbad is a whole other different film, the way it presents itself to it's audience. Nothing is spelled out. Nothing is handed to you. Nothing is explained. It just is.

There is nothing secret about Inception. Nothing was a mystery when I walked out after the movie was over. Inception is more Matrix (Hollywood Blockbuster that the norm thinks is a "thinker"). Heck, give it one or 2 years and Inception will just be another Inglourious Basterds, There Will Be Blood, Dark Knight, etc. You know, "the best movies ever made" blockbusters that are forgotten about when another A-list Hollywood director makes another.

Someone already pointed out that the The Fugitive Kind would be a blu release of a title originally released in the blu-ray era, Z falls into that category as well.

I'm not trying to "blame" anyone, but there are reasons not to get too pumped up about the HiDef Digest listings. I think those are autogenerated from Amazon. You see the same thing on this site (occassionally), BR's showing up on the new pre-order list that have already been released, rumored releases that have a placeholder page etc.

FWIW, I hope they all get released on BR, I just wouldn't soil my shorts just yet.

No, but I did check out the trailer...now that looks pretty bad-ass. I wonder if I can get it from blockbuster.com. I will try it later at home...

Thanks!

That's too bad. It's like Criterion movie heaven. Well not just Criterion but Kino, any foreign and classics you can think of. I guess that's why i've been good with not blind-buying my movies.
