Lots of really dumb things are popular. I don't like it because it adds loads of manufacturing cost which means a higher expense for the buyer.

All I can do is wait for the price to drop.

Also consider those people who have commented work within the industry or for it so will lie and kill you if they think they'll keep their jobs. It's marketing.
