Anyone who hates Inception is probably not a very good judge of the qualities of a movie. Keep forgetting how hot Carrie-Anne Moss is in these movies.

Lol!! Well, I have no idea what "spun me around." I think i was just in a better movie watching mood last night. When i saw it in the theater i had just returned home from a weekend of camping and was very tired.
I know i connected to Leo's character more this time. Having just seen Solaris (2002) i thought there were many similar themes: Love, loss, guilt, letting go being just a few.
I think the mind bending stuff hit me harder too. In the theater i was like, "Yeah, yeah, yeah it's a dream within a dream within a dream. I get it. It's totally trippy." Thing was, i don't think i did get it. I must've missed alot of the expository dialogue the first time around, because the timing of the last 30 minutes of the movie made sense this time. I think that's what impressed me the most. It's a mind-trip-twist type movie, but there's no twist. Everything is explained as you go. I think i wanted more mystery the first time and it would be real easy for Nolan to make this movie much more complicated without all that exposition. The fact that i know exactly what's going on, but still have to think about it, is quite a testament to Nolan's skill.
The score also impressed me more this time and the bluray can't be beat for sound and picture.

Carrie anne Moss?? She's in INception? Sure you're not mixing up her and Marion Cotilliard? Cotilliard is stunning btw. She couldn't be hotter.

As to questions, i didn't really have any, but my son asked,"Why noone was floating on the third level." He's nine, so i was actually pretty impressed that by the two hour mark he was still on top of things. Anyways, i told him i thought it was because at the third level it was actually Fisher's dream and Fisher wasn't in the van that was initially causing all the weightlessness. But he was floating in the fifth floor hotel room, so that kinda left me puzzled.

So someone explain it to me so i can pretend to be smart to my son.

LOL was only commenting on Squid's hatred of Inception, I'm watching the Matrix trilogy. Cotillard and Moss look nothing alike.
[Show spoiler]Not sure why they weren't floating inside Browning's mind/Eames' dream, that does surprise me a bit too, probably one of those things best not thought about.

I think each level has different rules,
[Show spoiler]each level may be affected differently by the falling of the van at Yusuf's level. It may be similar to the time thing, not to mention that for some reason the further in they went, the less Saito's pain became until he died and went to limbo where Cobb retrieved him.

Right, but you can see how your completely jumbled and confusing sentences/posts might make a guy slightly.......

BTW, Cottiliard for the win. She makes all women look like apes.

Cotillard is quite sexy, almost makes me want to see Public Enemies but I get the feeling it's one of those movies I wouldn't like, gorgeous Frenchwoman in it or not.

Hmmm.........i think we need to call in the experts. I also wondered if all of them initially being in a plane had any effect on the different levels, but that was never really made clear.

Try asking Petra_Kalbrain, I think he's the resident biggest fan of the movie.

The only thing being on that plane had to do with the dreaming
[Show spoiler]was it made sure they wouldn't be disturbed by the passengers in the other part of the plane. They picked that plane specifically because Saito controlled it and the first class cabin was not part of the rest of the plane.

Everyone i know said it was pretty "meh." I waited and saw it on HBO and enjoyed it. Probably buy the BD when it hits $10 again. I have a feeling that once i can enjoy ass kicking surround sound, my collection will grow exponentially, especially next black friday.

They were floating in the third part because they were falling in the second part.

Floating meant their bodies were pretty much at rest, like sitting in a chair, so no carry over to part four?

I understood that was the reason they were on the plane, but if you're technically weightless in a van that's falling off of a bridge, aren't you technically weightless sitting in a plane that's flying through the air?

Not sure how to explain this, the van was part of the dreaming because it was the first level they went to, the plane was simply the place all of them were asleep so it wouldn't really affect how all of them were dreaming unless the plane crashed.

You might be motionless, but not weightless or everything on every flight would be floating around.

Does that question mark mean you're not sure about the carry over? That really has to be the answer though. Otherwise there would be some residual on the snow fortress level.

Yeah, it's not really explained how much "carry over" there is from one level to the next. Like, why exactly does "falling" on one level turn into "floating" on the next?

If i'm getting punched in the face on level one, does that mean i'm making out with Marion Cotilliard on level 3? I like that kinda science!!!

Well as they said, when the van made sudden turns on the first level,
[Show spoiler]it shifted the gravity a bit on the second level so maybe the attempted kick of falling negated the gravity on the second level. Ariadne and Arthur did talk about it a bit but I can't really remember everything they said.
