Maybe Blow Out will be announced. Wasn't that kinda hinted at in a newsletter awhile back?

Yes, but so was Kes a bit earlier. We still haven't seen that one yet. I think the Blow Out one was last month. We still haven't heard any announcements for Kes or the one people thought was supposed to be Fear & Loathing.

I am curious...does CC release them in any order pertaining to the newsletter clues? Or do they just announce them on their own schedule?

Are there any other clues from 2010 that have yet to be announced?

I remember seeing in this past newsletter, the Christmas one, a drawing with some movies scattered around...some were already released on Blu, and some were not. I think I remember seeing Magnificent Obsession and Salo if I am not mistaken. Could these be re-released on Blu soon??? (I had to do some digging to find the pic again...)

Kes and Fear and Loathing.

There are also a bunch of announced things like Killing, The Game, Following, Kiss Me Deadly, Costa films, and of course everyone's fav poster boy for silent film (besides mine) Chaplin. This year might suck, besides the Costa.

When did they announce those?

Not announced like dates, but they are coming. The Game is for an April release. So you'll see that in the Jan announcements.

Following as in Nolan's Following? How ironic...

Gimme some more Kubrick and Chaplin on Wednesday, please.

Oh and other BBS-like set (in terms of giving us something fresh) would be awesome

You sir, are wise. I find it funny when people talk like, "What new "Criterion" are you going to buy?" or "Dang, those Criterion movies are awesome, I'm going to start collecting them." I mean, who is Criterion? And why hasn't he won an Oscar?

Haha! Nah, just kidding. I remember when that movie came out on DVD when I was in High school. I watched it and was very unimpressed. I probably won't be jumping on that one either.

Don't forget there's been a lot of talk about both Soderbergh's Solaris and Tarkovsky's Solyaris. And Malick's Badlands, as well. Which Costa film have you heard about? Z? Missing?

Oh man! Let's not start this discussion all over again. We'll have people saying, "Who are you to tell me what I can/can't do with my own money!"

In other words, don't even get me started.

No worries. I think it's more of a comment about how the film directors take a back seat to the Criterion label.

Got my Vivre sa Vie and Stagecoach in.

The Vivre sa Vie case is split down the middle on the inside of the spine. The back half is barely hanging on. I'm a little upset about that.

Haven't opened my Stagecoach yet, though.

Did you get them from Amazon? They should definitely replace it if you did.

It's been a while since I have had to do it, but I think if you go into your account and open the order, there will be a link for returns or exchanges. In my experience, if it is because the order is damaged, they will send a new one immediately and send you a return label for the old one.

He meant Pedro Costa, not Costa-Gavras. The film that Criterion should be releasing is Ne Change Rien. It was part of the Criterion curated event at the NY Film Festival.

Following was first mentioned back in 2009, CG covered The Game, and The Killing was screened by Criterion at All Tomorrow's Parties. It was also an MGM owned title like Paths of Glory, so Its almost certainly coming.
