about the sound tracks

Universum Film
says
English: Dts-hd Master Audio 2.0

bluray-disc.de
says there is also an english dts-hd Master Audio 5.1

none edition got lossless english tracks i guess...

other info is welcome

It could be that it was the material that Vivendi Visual had to work with since The Weinstein Company handed it off to them. Or, it was done in DD creatively so it would add to the "Grindhouse" experience.

why oh why . I own the US release, and really like the slipcover and extra bits, but this is a steelbook & includes a Lossless track . Why couldn't Vivendi of just provided a lossless track. I don't think it was to "preserve" the feel of the film, but to save time and money. This isn't the only newish film released by Vivendi, to only be given a lossy DD track .

What? I don't understand your question. This is the version that BOTH films (Planet Terror and Death Proof) were in when released to theaters. They have separate releases with their extended cuts (and Planet Terror's is barely noticeable)
