If they Blu-Ray this one, I'd probably buy it, rewatch it, get more out of it. Some scenes were pretty darn wicked.
LOL at your spoiler.

How about the one where
[Show spoiler]the cops throw dynamite into the store and then say "Come out with your hands up, you know the drill" The guy surrenders and they waste him at point blank?

"28 Weeks Later" definitely looks better. I think it's a slightly funner film too.
Yea I heard part one looked bad due to the source material. I love part 2 though. Got Em!!

I've added Die Hard 2 to my Netflix queue. I have heard from others that share your opinion so I'll watch it at some point.

Haha, I'm not poking fun at your reviews. When I was making that post I actually did type out a huge tangent then stopped myself to think "What does this have to do with anything?". So I deleted it and tried to keep it concise.

Fast and Furious 1/5
Not sure on PQ and AQ never seen it on blu-ray but easily one of the worst movies I've ever seen. Fast cars and hot chicks do not make a good movie when you have very wooden acting, bad writing and very unrealistic stunts and scenes.

Wall-E 2/5
SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO boring. Floating fat people, robots in love, pizza trees? Every studio has to lay an egg at least once, Wall-E's was Pixar's. I only own this abomination so my nieces can watch it, I think it's a horrible movie and one of the most over-rated of all-time. Oh and I think Toy Story 3 is a disappointment compared to 1 and 2.

Gandalf, was your review of The Fast and the Furious or Fast & Furious? i'm gonna say the first unless you jumped right into the franchise.

wowzers!
i was always curious if someone who owns over 400+ blu-rays actually had a list of movies they hated, or just kind of disliked but still found enjoyment in. of course the only one i have major issue with is There Will Be Blood the rest i enjoyed on some level, but certainly didn't hate.

Notorious (1946)

Studied a lot of Hitchcock this semester. Hitchcock is really hit or miss for me. I absolutely loved Rear Window, Psycho, and Vertigo but merely thought that North By Northwest and The Birds were average.

With a cast containing the likes of Carey Grant, Ingrid Bergman, and Claude Rains it's hard to see where the film could go wrong. Notorious is known for it's use of character subjectivity shots to point out key elements. However, I think it's used to the point where it's blatantly obvious where the story is going. I would have preferred a more subtle approach to unveiling the story. While it was a key element introduced in the 40's, I felt the execution was a little dated.

Another element of Hitchcock is the close proximity of good and evil, which is abundantly clear here. While in a traditional sense Nazi's are viewed as bad guys, we can relate with Alexander Sebastian's (Claude Rains) character on a few levels. The mother acts as a puppet master and we get the sense that the other Nazi's are capable of much more than Sebastian and we're left wondering; who is really the bad guy?

As a whole I thought the story coupled with Ingrid Bergman's character and the overall writing were fairly solid, but nothing spectacular. I felt Bergman's character to be a little on the annoying side and Grant's character to be a little frustrating in some areas.

While Notorious contains a great cast with a close proximity of good and evil, overtly obvious character subjectivity shots and fair writing drag it down.

3/5

LOL Into the Wild 2/5
The only thing I really liked about this movie was Kristen Stewart in it for what, 5 minutes? I get that there were good performances and gorgeous cinematography but it was boring so I really don't like it.
[Show spoiler]Kid decided to leave civilization to go live more naturally and moron died from food poisoning.
