Just picked the 3-disc Extended Collectors Edition
set up from BLOCKBUSTER.

Sticker Price: $34.99
Scanned Price: $29.99
After $5 Coupon: $24.99
HST: $3.25
Total: $28.24

This should be interesting...

I Haven't seen Avatar since it was released
in theater & I didn't purchase the original
release, anticipating it being included in
this set...

Looks like I was right.

Can't comment on the price, as I've yet to
see the film (will update), but I'm sure James
Cameron can fill you in on how great of a deal
this is until I update.

also got mine from blockbuster. It was stickered at 29.99, and i used the 4$ coupon from the entertainment pack, even though it said it could only be used on regualr priced items.

packaging is gorgeus. only thing i don't like is that it's basically the same height as a dvd, and sticks out on the shelf.

The bd is digibook size since the discs are housed in a digibook. Also, the dvd was even taller than the bd.

Also, Costco has it for $29.89.

Does it depend on the popularity of the title that you're trading in?

yup. different titles fetch various values. (minimum tiv for blus is $5)

I would receive $1.40 (individually) for both:
League of Extraordinary Gentleman & Rise of
the Silver Surfer.

And yes, I did make sure to specify they were
on Blu-ray... but maybe she didn't hear me.

I usually get $1.40 on dvd tradeins, so it looks like the girl might have messed up.

Traded in my orig Avatar for $15 @ BBV and went to p/u the new one - stickered and rang up @ 49.99

Guess I'll ask for it for cmas and tell my wifre to pick it up somewhere else.

got it for $19.99 (29.99- $10 reward coupon)
traded my ORIGINAL AVATAR at BEAT GOES ON for $13
so $13-19.99 = $6 difference

cant be happier after a $6 upgrade

I walked through BBV today, and they had this Avatar Ext edition on the new release rack for 49.99 + tax, LMFAO.

That's almost 58 dollars after tax in Ontario.
Ri-goddamn-diculous.
