I think you'll find that based on the link that lgans316 provided they are inferring that it will be region free as only a handful of Sony releases in the UK have been region locked. Having said that as there are clearly two different distributors for the major markets of the US and UK you may find it is one of the rare exceptions and is locked due to rights.

Personally if region coding is an issue I would hold off until a clearer indication is given as at the moment it could really go either way, though I'd lean toward region free at the moment based on Sony's track record.
