Yeah, did they understand it? Did they like "The Matrix?" Glad you enjoyed it though.

They asked me to bring it.

Strangely enough, we watched The Matrix before it. They gave it 5/10.

I didn't like it, Plus i am not a big fan of Swank, Although for some reason i did like here in the reaping

Unforgiven is one of my favourite westerns though.

"You shot an unarmed man", "Well, He should have armed himself"

I just think it is fantastic, while the pacing is a little slow at the start it builds up nice and delivers a great final act.

Our tastes differ quite a lot. We both like Shawshank, The Green Mile and the Bourne Trilogy. They worship Taken.

Sci-fi is rarely liked, but they did enjoy Avatar.

Well there you go. They dont like those type of movies. I dont understand why people watch movies knowing that they aren't of a fan of the genre and then crap on the movie when they dont like it.

For example im not a huge fan of Musicals. So if i do find myself watching one i wont say that the movie is bad because i dont like it. I already knew i wasnt gonna connect with the film.

I guess they heard Inception was good from someone they trust. I didn't expect them to like it.

But I do and that's why it's in my collection. Along with the Matrix and tons of other sci-fi and Nolan titles.

Who doesn't like Shawshank

Taken is pretty awesome, I love that movie too, but if sci-fi is a no go then I am not surprised at the Matrix reaction.

Have they seen Minority Report ? yes it is Sci-fi but it is such a fantastic movie

Unlikely.

I'm going to limit my future choices to things they specifically request.

Show them Dark city

Is pretty much the same movie as the Matrix but with out all the action and martial arts.

See if that rate it higher or lower.

Besides Swank, what didnt you like? Dark, sad, boring?

I thought the chemistry between Clint and Freeman was great and felt very natural.

Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole - This is funny because I watched this film saturday night but I dosed on and off through the whole film. I wasnt sure if it was the film or if I was just sleepy. I did put the film on at 10pm so I knew being sleepy played a part in it. I would normally stop the film and watch it later but other people were watching also so I let it play out. Anyhoo I decided to give it another try yesterday just to make sure and this time I didnt watch it so late.

The visuals were insane and it was a pretty dark story taking very seriously. I did enjoy the film but at times it did feel a bit sleepy here and there. I thought it was a well made film and loved the music for the most part. I believe at one point in the film it had the same score as The Mist which was excellent. At times I was thinkin that the film was to serious to be an animated film but then again as an adult that shouldnt be a problem anyway. Great voice overs and each voice seem to fit the appearance. Other then maybe being a bit to serious although there were a couple of humor characters like Digger I have to say overall it is a very good film and would be curious to see a part 2. Got Em!!

Film Rating - 3 1/2 stars (out of 5)

PQ - 5 stars (out of 5)

AQ - 5 stars (out of 5)

Watched: Pulp Fiction

Well, I've watched a lot of films by Quentin Tarantino up to this point (Kill Bill 1 and 2, Reservoir Dogs, Inglorious Basterds), but I've yet to see this. Now, I can tell you this: It's really a great movie, with many tributes and homages relating to the 50's and 80's, and a surprisingly complex and nonlinear plot. I didn't really noticed that everything was entwined together until I see certain characters getting involved in future or past plots, such as
[Show spoiler]when Jules and Vincent were at the diner when Pumpkin and Honey Bunny were robbing the diner at the end, when in fact occurred at the introduction of the movie.
It's a really ingenious and original film Tarantino has made, and I really applaud him for making this classic. Of course, I didn't know what the hell was going on throughout the movie, until the very end where everything got tied up together, which happened to me when I watched Reservoir Dogs, but I had no problem with it. Overall, I give this movie a 5/5
