Since Sussudio hasn't visited the forum since early this year I thought I'd mention that US Plastic and Discmakers now carry additional cases in addition to what is mentioned in the OP.

I just ordered 20 Viva Elite single disc cases and 20 Viva Elite double disc cases from megadiscstore.com, that many cases will last me forever, but at least any time I get a bit of a bum case now I'll be set instantly for replacing it.

I was on the fence about replacing cases but hell I got a few that I can replace so I might as well. It'll make my collection look even better!

I'll let you all know how they look once I get them.

I can't help out you guys looking for big cases, but as a reference I sold out of them for $9 each empty.

Also, anyone ordering cases direct from the manufacturer should order extra to allow for the scratched and damaged ones that will arrive.

Thanks for this heads up.... my local BB had a lot in stock. I was able to replace some busted cases.

Yup mine finally got some in stock so I bought 20 more for $10+ tax, will use 3 of them right away and then check for more. Need to get some one disc ones as well eventually, so far bought 45 replacement blu-ray cases.

I just saw a thread over at the Blu-ray 3D forum talking about 14mm Clear cases w/ blu-ray logo at Shop4Tech.com and I noticed they also carry 14mm Black PS3 cases but w/o the blu-ray logo. I also noticed Mertline is also carrying the 14mm Clear cases w/ logo.

Today my 20 Viva Elite single disc and 20 Viva Elite double disc cases arrived FedEx from megadiscstore.com and I am happy to report that these cases are 100% exactly like the ones I needed to replace. Their service was also top notch and I know if need be I'd order from them again without thinking twice.

No more cases that are busted. My collection looks prime now!

Viva Elites say Viva Elite inside the case, Vortexes are the ones with the stamped on blu-ray logo and the lock on the side.

Officially, Vortex and Viva are the two brands used by all companies releasing Blus. I know some who have used all Vortex, or all Viva, replacing any Blu that comes in the opposite of what they want. Personally, I prefer the original case for the Blu. There's no "best" brand, it depends on the person. Viva and Vortex are both great. Some don't like the latches on the Vortex, some do, it just depends on the person. Then there's the Generic cases, which are entirely different. But again, some like them.

I just ordered a 5 pack of the Viva Elite 2 and 3 disc cases from Casetopia. They arrived very quickly, and I'm enjoying them. I'm using them mainly for combo packs, whether it's movies that lack extras, a particular version (theatrical or extended cut), or a store-exclusive that came with a bonus disc or two, but only on DVD. Here's one I did with The Pursuit of Happyness:







The bonus discs are from the Target-exclusive 3 disc "deluxe edition" DVD (although I got mine from Kmart for $3.99 during a Black Friday sale a couple of years ago). Just swapped over the bonus doc DVD and audio book CD to the Blu-ray case...the DVD itself, it'll make for a fine coaster
