I haven't played my PS3 in a little while because nothing was coming out for a while and now I'm lost since I haven't really looked at game news. One of my favorite games is the God of War Trilogy. I love action/adventure games. I enjoy the gore, as well. Is there anything you can recommend me? Only one I could find was Splatterhouse, but I'm hearing very very mixed things. Haven't played SAW II: Flesh and Blood since again, heard very mixed things and thought the first SAW game was very mediocre.

Have you played Dead Space? Might be a good one for you....cheap, and the 2nd one comes out in less than a month.

I rented that back when I had Gamefly and beat it in around a week.

I don't do multiplayer much since I'm usually the only one playing the PS3. I always just do the campaign and sometimes play online, if the game can do so.

Enslaved? Dante's Inferno? Batman?

Tough without knowing what you've played. Enslaved is failry new and only $20 - got good reviews too.

I played Dante's Inferno, it's a lot like God of War, so I was addicted haha. I beat that in a couple days.

I've never heard of or played Enslaved. I just looked up the trailer and it looks pretty cool.

I haven't played Batman.

Thanks for the recommendations Harpua!

I'm still open to recommendations since I want to have a list of games since I fly through them fairly quickly.

Warhawk is an online title. In fact, theres no single player of any kind. It also supports splitscreen online if you've got someone over.

The best online shooter released on the PS3 is Battlefield Bad Company 2.. I recommend it

I uh don't mean to post the obvious but Saw II has a demo on the playstation store if you have any reservations I would suggest trying it.

I had to say the rain textures on the bricks were very nice.

But I would never own a game from the genrea, "Torture Porn",
just not my taste in movies or games personally.

Since I always saw God of war as a 3d sidescroller It would be more helpful to me through not neccesary, for a few more games you like, as I can just sputter random things off the top of my head as well as everyone else.

Even though the design is a bit polarizing on opinions, I recommend you absolutely try Bayonetta, especially since it'll be dirt cheap on Amazon these days.

Gameplay is fast and flowing, bloody good attacks, replayable...probably my favorite straight-up-action game this gen.

I have to agree with this--absolutely awesome gameplay and a lead character with charm to spare! Don't miss it

I would suggest Castlevania Lords of Shadow. I personally like this game much better than God of War and it is pretty brutal. I mean it has Vampires, Lycans, Ogres, Goblins, Zombies, Gremlins, Titans and plenty more. You can saw them in half, blow em up, ride em around, stake to the heart etc. It's easily one of the best games I've played all year and very enjoyable with beautiful designs, great story, and awesome gameplay. One of the best soundtracks as well that fits every moment of the game perfectly.
