A quick question. If I pick up something this Sunday Dec 16. What week does it count for on Nielsen?

Week of Dec 10

or

Week of Dec 17

Thanks.

53:47 is what I am predicting. The week after will be another 75:25+ number. We get by this week and your looking at BD winning every week minimum up to April 08 and by that time the war might be over.

Thanks. I was not sure if the Sunday was the start or the end of how Nielsen counted the sale numbers. I get it. Wow I think I am buying to much Blu's these days!

An insider? Unless it's an insider at Nielsons then somebody is probably blowing smoke your way. It's just a little too early to have the numbers.

How do I know this?

Bourne was selling VERY well on day one and was on pace to be the highest selling HD movie EVER.

Harry Potter for a little while was actually doing better on HD-DVD than bluray and was slightly below 50:50. However, a few days later, the BD version picked up some steam and had the lead at around 55:45

Im hoping that this trend put Harry Potter at least at 60:40 in favor of blu.

We shall see.
Where are you getting this info? ...and if it's a source that you can't name, then I don't believe it, and you shouldn't be spreading it on here.

All Harry potter movies seems to be doing better on HDD (at least at my local walmart, BB, Target and CC), I hope LOST S3 and pirates can put good numbers so it's another 60-40 week.

I just checked my email and the j and r sale that was on for about 5 days was good till December 12th so the sales should count!

J & R isn't just an online store. They have a physical location in NYC, so it should count.

This statement is completely meaningless.

Either it sold the most on day 1 of any title, or it didn't.

Saying it's "on pace"? Garbage.

On pace could mean it sold 20k on the first day, so if it kept up that pace all week it'd be 140k for the week, which is the most ever.

On pace could be an HD-DVDers way of saying that it sold 5k but this will be the title that has legs and continues to sell long after all other titles are no longer selling at all.

"on pace" is hilarious because the 1st 2 days usually sell the most...so it's a misleading number...
