Default Batman Begins

Sigh, I know, I know, another one of these threads.

After watching the Dark Knight Trailer, I wanted to see Batman Begins agian, but I will not succumb to the DVD. Hopefully it will be announced at CES.

I think it will be announced at CES. If Warner do go BD exclusive at CES I think it will almost guaranteed.

I will definitley buy Batman Begins on Blu-ray... I don't know what WB is waiting for... I am truly puzzled by this... I would venture to say that Batman Begins would sell probably 100,000 copies on Blu-ray easily... They should announce this soon... I wish one of the insiders knew something and could tell us what is going on with this title...

Sadly. I don't think we will see this until Dark Knight opens in June.

Does anyone actually know why Batman Begins, V for Vendetta, and the Matrix were not released on Blu when they came out on HD DVD?

I've heard the Picture in picture commentary stuff was an issue, if that was the case then profile 1.1 fixes the problem and it wont be long now.

Since WB has released many movies on Blu-ray w/o the picture in picture commentary track, I doubt that this is the reason Batman, Matrix, and V were postponed.

It makes sense that WB leaned HD DVD with Nickerson et al. But once BD started dominating (xmas lats year) they needed to change the tune. thus, WB releases with lack of features......still using the ime excuse for the past Nickerson low blows.

Now with Bewkes stepping up and 1.1 here id have to guess that Batman is strictly marketing and will be tied to the dark knight and the other will be announced at CES.

I heard one rumor that WB is going to put Batman Begins out utilizing profile 1.1 and is waiting until 1.1 hits the market in mass....

Probably just a rumor though.

Probably.

If they make a decision it would be after the holiday sales I'm sure.

this movie has plenty of impact...

if Warner went HD-DVD exclusive, I would definitely purchase a player and cave....

I am into supporting Blu and all...but that would show that there is no end in sight...and that the industry isn't interested in there being one format...

I have too many SD's and Blu's to watch to even consider caving into that other format. Warner will go Blu exclusive. I feel it in my buns, I mean, bones.*

I don't think that Warner could keep up with the demand for this title if they were to release this. I think it amazing that they have not done so at this point, very strange that they would hold this huge title back? I know people are saying that they are waiting for the Dark Knight release, but what was their excuse before this movie was announced?

Oh Well........................
