Actually it was BigAl, but I agree with you both, I think overall the Totem would be a better performer, but I would stick with the Energy center because it will match up better to your front speakers.

Fronts: CF-50 Surrounds: CF-30 Center: CC-10 ![]() I got myself an awesome desk at Costco (cost $100 and looks like it's easily $300-$400). So now I've got my speakers ideally set up against a flat wall instead of the corner! ![]() |

Ok so I have had my RC 50's for about a week now. What a huge diff. between these and the Polk 70's I had! I can hear little things that I didnt hear before. Just amazing speakers and they are not broken in yet. They also are much louder then the Polks were. I dont need to turn them up as loud as the Polks. Im assuming its because it is a more efficient speaker
![]() So anyways I just ordered an RC-LCR center channel off of Ebay for $370. I'm hoping this will make an even better diff. over my Polk CS-20 that I have been using ![]() |

For the LCR, if it's brand new, you might find the dialog a bit muffled in the beginnig but it will open up after break in period, some speakers tone down but don't worry it will sound fantastic after 10 movies, you will start to get the feel of how it will sound after that, the RC-50 will open up a bit more but they will stay laid back. For those of you who have been following the CF series. What was the lowest price from an authorized dealer that you have seen on the CC-10 and the CC-5. I'm considering getting a CF 5.1 system (CF-30 front,CC-10/CC-5,CB-5 surround,ESW-C10). I have seen the CF-30 for $150 each. The CB-5 are now at $99 and I think they were once as low as $95. The ESW-C10 was selling for $199 at around March of last year so it is bound to go that low in the near future and most likely never lower than that. The center channels seem to hold their price. You get everything at a reduced price but to complete the system you have to pay the full price for the center. Is this some ploy of the dealers to get you to spend more with them because you are deperate to make the system complete. I think the same is happening with the RC series, the 30's and the 50's are super low but you have to pay almost a full price for the LCR.

I think if you went in and said you wanted the whole deal $950 + tax, you could get it. |

Here is the best deal that Vann's gave me before the CB-5 went on sale for $99
Energy CF30: $199.99 each Energy CB5: $149.99 for the pair Energy CC5: $129.99 each Energy ESWC10: $249.98 I'm pretty much set on the fronts, surround, and sub but I just can't make up my mind on the center. Energy uses the CC-10 in all of their HT systems even the one with the bookshelf speakers as fronts (CB-10?) but Klipsch uses the C-10 with their F-10 HT. I don't need the greater power handling of the CC-10 or the lower frequency. From the two reviews that I read (not many reviews out there for this brand) the people said that the voices coming from the CC-5 sounded like they were in a box. I don't know what to make of this because I can't hear the speakers in person. The big plus of the CC-5 for me is that it can be mounted and angled down towards the listener. For the CC-10 I will have to put up a shelf and there will be very little room between the wall and the back of the speaker so I will have to plug the port. |

Then you could get the CC-5 and raise the gain a bit to make up for it but it's Frequency response is a bit shy I find the older C-C50 had more low end was able to handle the 80-hz X-over quite well with a bit of gain was able to keep up even with the C-500 but the C-100 was a better choice because of it's bigger driver sive and lower extension. Honestly I would try to offer them 229$ for the CC-10 center to complete your setup. You would have to speand an extra 100$ but would be well worth it if you ask me. |
