There are some steebooks I refuse to open.
Indiana Jones, Transformers ROTF, Iron Man MM..
A whole lot more. But like the Alliance steels Sin City and Memento I've opened mainly cuz I have no desire to sell them. Have to keep in mind they do lose a bit of value when opened. Yet it's awesome to open and see the inside of a steel that has gorgeous artwork. It's a dilemma. You could always buy 2 of each like I do at times, but a fortune is what it costs

i open all my steelbooks. i just think they look better without the cardboard on it and all that. i however do not watch the movies they are in cause i buy reg Blu's to watch and steels are just for collecting. i have yet to open salt but thats due to the fact i'm not sure if i'm going to like the movie or not. if i like it i will open it and keep it in my collection, if i dislike someone on here will be getting it

Javo makes a good point, there certain steels that you just can't open but regular steel like Alliance, or Warner steels are ok since they are only like $20-25 anyways...and it does cost a fortune especially for Javo he probably receives like 90 steelbooks a week or at least it seems like it..lol

if you keep them sealed,i recommend that you keep it that way because if you open them, more than 50 % of those will have imperfections that will just ruin it for you big time.
i myself,open them

if i want to watch the movie, i have to open my steelies. cant afford two copies. i buy them cause i like the movie and look great on my shelf. its like when i was collecting comic books back in the 80s. we all thought these overpriced and overprinted comics would be worth something one day (granted - some are). dont get me wrong, i love my steelies, but if people think these tin cases are going to be worth something in 20 years, think again. you wanna make an investment - buy stocks, bonds, or cds.

Maybe not in 20 years, but in the short run they dont seem to lose you money anyway.
I still have a DVD of Army of Darkness Limited Canadian edition, 1 of 4000 made. Seems it is rare and prices from $50 to $150 on ebay.
Until they come up with a new video format I think the limited runs the steels have will make the value only go up.
