My Soul To Take 3D Blu-ray (2010) [Region B Locked] [forced subtitles]

The 3D version of My Soul To Take was only released on 3D Blu-ray in France. The disc is Region B locked and includes forced French subtitles when played in the original language (English). All other disc releases are flat.

The link neither confirm nor deny a BD3D release, but it's high chance that it will be after Best Buy's previous 3D exclusives; My Bloody Valentine and The Last Airbender.

My partner will want this! I doubt the actual normal blu ray will be exclusive to Best Buy...but we'll wait and see!

I hope it comes out in 3DBD, I dont like the possibility that they can release something in theaters in 3D and dont release it like that in home video

3D was not impressive for this title in Theaters, in fact it's The Last Airbender all over again so there's a big possibility for best buy to have the 3D Blu-Ray.

I like the movie, not so much on the 3D, but still not the worst I've seen (Talkin' about Scar 3D). I'll get the 3D Blu-Ray though, if best buy has it.

It's most likely a steelbook or has a bonus disc. As it's the same price as the regular Blu-ray. I would think if it was a 3D version it would be $34.99 or higher or at least show some price difference from the 2D version. The 3D sucked in this one so as long as it's released on 2D blu i'll be happy.

When I type this SKU into the Best Buy system it comes up as a Best Buy Exclusive version, but it is not within the 3D parameters that are usually marked in our stock system. So I'm gonna guess it's not 3D.

this movie is crazy bad!!! me and my GF went to see it in 3-d and it sucked no need for 3-d they didnt use it good bad story and bad acting to top it.

I heard the same from MANY regarding 3D on this one...I saw it in 2D!

Cross your fingers. I came across this while checking my orders on Amazon France for a couple of 3D blus not available in the US. Not many details, but it looks like France is where the 3D action (at least on blu ray) is at!

NICE find!! It says 3D on the description...but it doesn't show the logo on the box of the disc (in the pic) at all...that makes me feel a little bit cautious and suspicious, but optimistic.


States it 's region B as well. Those with region free players are good to go...I'm shit out of luck though,lol

Considering this was an unintended, 100% post-production conversion done in 2010 by the Prime Focus team fresh off of Clash of the Titans... I would not hold out any hope for the 3D in this to be any good at all. Admittedly seeing it in 3D is the only reason I would ever bother watching this movie, but it'd have to be free on HBO on demand or something... definitely not gonna pay import prices for it.

Have to be cautious about a few things when Hollywood movies are only available in 3D from foreign countries. One of the most frustrating are the occasional forced subtitles when the original English audio track is chosen. Found this on DayBreakers in 3D, region B from Amazon.de (Germany). No way to stop the German subtitles.

Interesting this thread recently popped back up. I included this in an order from Amazon.fr over the weekend. Didn't know it had forced subs, but I have AnyDVD and CloneBD so I'll run it through those to strip out the subs before I watch it.

Finally watched this one.

The beginning of the movie was very aggressive and quite good. The surround sound field was really active and enjoyable. Unfortunately after the start the movie gets a bit boring.

The 3D conversion was surprisingly good considering the movie was released in 2010. Many scenes had decent depth and handful of layers. The few pop out effects there are could have been more powerful. On positive note I didn't notice any bad conversion errors.

I watched this at the weekend, taking advantage of my player's ability to move the forced subtitles all the way down off the picture, so I only saw them when the lines doubled up.

I was pleasantly surprised by the 3D, for an early conversion it did very well with only a few iffy moments where someone's head had that embossed Clash Of The Titans look. Depth was decent, with interior scenes and scenes in the woods getting some real atmosphere that just isn't there in 2D. Floating mist in 3D - love it.

I do have the open-matte UK version but it's safe to say I won't be watching that again, the 3D version blows it out of the water. The film is an absolute mess of course (this was my third time watching it) but is transformed into something quite watchable by the 3D. What a shame it never got a 3D Blu-ray release outside France, and what a shame the French distributors had to ruin the original language version with forced subtitles - just like region coding they are something no consumer EVER wants. Unless they are some kind of pirate and just want everything burned together so they can watch on their Playstation...
