I agree with you, that the article if FULL of BS. So far they have said that the birds in Arkansas died from some sort of internal trauma and that no external forces were at work. No disease or poison. This is getting weirder and weirder. Then I read this, 40,000 'devil' crabs washed up in England yesterday: http://news1.ghananation.com/interna...pothermia.html This got me to thinking that maybe this is all climate / global warming related. But I suspect we will never know. ![]() Last edited by tilallr1; 01-06-2011 at 01:36 PM. |

In the days before a fireworks display birds are flushed out, so that during the display there are no large roosts nearby. The Ark. event was 10-12 commercial grade fireworks set off in a residential neighborhood with a large roost nearby. My guess is the individuals who set them off were not as thorough in prepping the area as most large scale events are. Also most commercial displays are over water or large open areas. Imagine being in a residential neighborhood with soundwaves from the explosions hitting you from 20 different directions at the same time, and your night blind.

Maybe the new Chinese spy planes were doing some test runs, resulting in sonic booms? The real question is could a Sonic Boom kill Fish as well, which would be impossible for Fireworks to do of course. ![]() http://www.cnn.com/2011/WORLD/asiapc...ex.html?hpt=T2 Last edited by tilallr1; 01-06-2011 at 04:34 PM. |

So the plot thickens ...
Dead birds in Sweden killed by 'external blows' http://www.cnn.com/2011/WORLD/europe/01/05/sweden.bird.deaths/index.html?npt=NP1 So it looks like its been confirmed in Sweden that the birds were killed by "sudden, hard external blows,", and had nothing to with Fireworks. I am leaning on a Sonic Boom. Anyone else have any guesses? I thought about Hail, but there were no weather conditions in any of the areas affected. |

It is predators. Their cloaked ship smashed through the birds while collecting people for the hunt

I agree. Some of the official explanations are ridiculous.
