Logan's Run
Put this in not really sure what to expect and was immediately blown away by the set design, for a film this old the Sci Fi Dome City setting looked fantastic. It made me want to live there. Definately one of the best (if not the best) Sci Fi city I've seen in a film, everything from the monorail, rooms, corridor's all looked great and had that shiny, sterile look. Very, very nice!!!! As for the film itself, it was kinda mixed bag. It was well acted, had an interesting story with a good soundtrack and I thought it was great up till they meet a certain character (just over half way), then I kinda drifted off, it picked up again towards the end, but there was something about the ending that didn't really grab me either and it felt kinda rushed. Also, there was alot of grain in parts and is one the poorer film transfer's I've seen (I am aware of the film's age though), but the Dome city looked damn good in HD. Overall I enjoyed it more than I didn't and for me the film was well worth watching for the set design alone. |
