I use my HT everyday as it is also the family room and has the only TV in the entire house.....so it gets used often, just not nearly the way I want to....

Bill, if I had that BB GC yesterday I could of bought a new BD after work. But nooo, it has to come in today.

So the UPS shipping label is included. I just stick on my box and ship it?

Yup, I normally open the box from the bottom and then just put the return label right on top of the old one and remove that little sticker they add during shipping.

Remember I offered to send the number so you could do 'in store pickup"

EVENTUALLY I will build a proper one in the empty space I call the basement...in this case eventually really means in 10 years, lol. I will also add another bathroom a dedicated 2 channel room and an additional bedroom, yes I have planned this out.

Morning guys

Friday is certainly the most wonderful day yet.

Beta, the Bearcats looked GREAT last night If they play like that consistently starting Sunday they should do well in Big East play this year and maybe make the tournament. Two things about Xavier, that was their lowest scoring game in 7 YEARS and they only had 4 assists TOTAL as a team.

Hey Bill!

Thought I'd stop by the "garage" and see how you're doing! Hope you get the chance to relax in there tonight.

I did John but it wasn't until Saturday night but I'll take it all the same and it actually give me a reason to bump my own thread

The wife and I decided that in the "Year of Friendship" (that would be this year, with our efforts to not be such jerks to each other ) that we would set aside Friday nights to watch movies in the garage. This week we were both tired and fell asleep on the couch by 10PM so we moved it to Saturday night. We got out there about 9:30 after putting Ethan down for bed. Of course I let her pick what we were going to watch , she picked "Salt" and she actually made it through the entire movie

About 10 minutes before the end of the movie I had to go in and get Ethan back to sleep so I also had a chance to check how much she can actually hear from our bedroom while I'm out there at night. She wasn't lying it is decently audible in our room, of course where we sleep is actually only about 5' away from the front speakers and sub so it doesn't REALLY surprise me. Well that and I had the volume at -10

All in all it was a nice time and she seemed to enjoy herself. She did complained about her neck hurting afterward from having to actually sit upright on the love seat, I told her we could EASILY fix that by purchasing at least one nice 2 person reclining theater seat

Hope everyone else had a good weekend as well.

Bill

Nope, I will however be sitting on the couch watching something else Actually I'm sure I will have the game on but only as noise while we do our nightly routine.

What type of wings are you going to be cooking? I was pondering making some Chicken Paprikash.

That reminds me.... our favorite local bar/restaurant has a Chicken-paprikash sandwich as the monthly special.... can't wait to try it!

I convinced the wife some time ago that we needed a nice (but not over-the-top) deep-fryer..... it rarely gets used, but it's great when we do use it..... Mozzarella sticks should be against the law! I eat way too many!

I'll deep-fry some wings (extension cord to an exterior outlet because I'd never fry anything indoors) do various wing-sauces, etc.... nothing fancy, but it's always better than going out for wings.....

I made some Chicken Cattiatore yesterday.... I've never tried to make Chicken-Paprikash.

I would love to, but a weekday night really puts a cramp into it. No time as it is after work on a normal day to get the kids ready for bed, and less time if I tried to make stuff and "host" anything....not to mention my kids would never fall asleep, I'm sure of it.

Why can't the Super Bowl and this game be on a Saturday night? Now that would serve a much better purpose for hosting a party!

Oh.... I'm going ALL OUT for the Superbowl this year... I need to get the HT painted in time.... I'm thinking about having it catered and everything..... the game tonight will be a "small gathering" in comparison!

Seems like tonight's game will be a "trial run" Beta. You'll have time to perfect it by Super Bowl Sunday. I could really go for some wings too.

I usually ordered a deli tray and some kind of "hot" tray as well when I had a Super Bowl party....but that was before the kids arrived.

Sounds like a good time, I hope the game turns out to be better.

Better numbers having it on a Monday night, more individual viewers as many people that will be watching will be doing so on their own.

I've never understood the appeal of a SB party when your home team isn't involved (I'm guessing the Browns are you home team of course). Being a Bengals fan I will never get to throw one based on my criteria I suppose, lol.

One of things I always enjoyed about a Super Bowl party were all the games and stuff you do, like the grid you buy into for each square to match the score each quarter/final or filling out those questionairres as to who will score first, and stuff like that. Any time you can get a lot of people together to do the same thing, it is a good time.....sometimes the game is an excuse to just have the party and food/beer.
