![]() ![]() ![]() Do you love MST3K as much as I do? Do you have all the episodes on VHS or have you digitized them on DVD like I have? Well you've come to the right place! This thread will discuss everything to do with MST3K, including riff trax and Cinematic Titanic. Sites that I frequent MST3K info - Satellite News - This site indexes all of the shows and updates you on birthdays and deaths Official MST3k site Cinematic Titanic - Joel and the original crew (season 1) of MST3K started Cinematic Titanic, riffing old movies live at select cities and they also offer DVD versions. I own them all so far. Highly recommended. It's good to hear TV's Frank again! Riff Trax - Mike Nelson, Bill Corbett, and Kevin Murphy all started Riff Trax after a failed attempt at trying the Film Crew (they put out 4 dvd's that are all great). I have tried the Happening so far and it was great! Can't wait to try Avatar. ![]() One episode I watch every Christmas is a Russian movie called Jack Frost. You tube has a short video for those that haven't seen it, it basically shows 9 minutes of footage that will have you rolling. Highly recommended if you want to watch something a bit off beat, but still hilarious. Youtube has all of the clips I believe. What are your favorite episodes? Have you guys seen Cinematic Titanic or tried syncing Riff Trax with your blurays or DVDs? My Top 5 MST3K Movies 1. The Magic Sword 2. Jack Frost 3. Laserblast 4. Space Mutiny 5. Puma Man ...with honorable mention going to: Manos Hands of Fate, Devil Doll and Santa Clause Conquers the Martians. Last edited by Deadset; 10-01-2010 at 04:29 PM. |

It may be just a few old schoolers like us hanging out here, but that's ok. Not sure how many bluray fans are into this kind of thing, but like Rob said....TV was invented for this kind of stuff.
I listed my Top 5 which is extremely tough to do. As for the best CT i've seen, it has to be: The Alien Factor Video Link [Show spoiler]

And despite a healthy selection of the early Joel Hodgson Comedy Central episodes on DVD/Netflix, to all viewers of interest, would all those saying "I've only seen the Sci-Fi Channel episodes in my life, and Mike is the funniest ever!" kindly line up and make themselves identified?
![]() It usually happens in these threads, and we'd like to get the carnage out of the way early. (Call it tough-love: There is no joy in watching a hundred posters with sheltered background gush over the "hilarity" of Soultaker and Final Sacrifice, living their lives unaware of the fact that Monster-a-Go-Go, Pod People, Eegah!, Mr. B Natural, Santa Claus Conquers the Martians, Cave Dwellers and Warrior of the Lost World are already archived on disk. At these point, we'd even welcome the Nth quoting of "Manos".) ![]() Last edited by EricJ; 10-01-2010 at 09:18 PM. |

I believe the whole Joel vs. Mike thing has been played out a billion times on other boards and it wasn't the intention of this thread to have those discussions. I love all the episodes, yes even Hamlet and thought each host brought something funny to the table.
One of my favorite Joel episodes is Mitchell. Joe Don Baker. ![]() |

I wasn't here to start rivalries, I'm just saying that it's okay to prefer one over the other, so long as your decision between the two is INFORMED.
(And as you can see from other threads, I get just tetchy about fans of the New Doctor Who series, for the exact same historical-revisionism reason.) Although if you DO like those school-bully high-school-retentive Happy-Madison Mike episodes, you might want to ask yourself some serious questions. ![]() |

MST3K is the only dvd releases that I buy these days since Blu ray. I have every MST3K dvd released with my divx files of the rest that has not been released yet.
Here is a list of the episodes that I am waiting for. Puma Man Squirm The Brute Man Lately I have been watching Red Zone Cuba, Night of the Blood Beast, squirm and the KTMA TV episodes except for the lost first 3 episodes.Too bad there are no Fan Copies. ![]() Last edited by Eddie2u; 10-04-2010 at 12:52 AM. |

I have now officially hooked my 2 year old on this show. To hell with Barney and Dinosaur Train...he asks for the "Robot Show" every morning now. Glad netflix has about 45 of them to stream...makes it easy.
I did just get the new set with the Gypsy robot figure in it. Already have the 20th set on order from Shout Factory. It comes with a MST3K stress ball with a pre-order. |
