I definitely agree. I am really happy that I did not blind buy this movie. I think that this is definitely also a rental at best. I am not disappointed I watched it, but I won't ever plan on revisiting this film again. IMO, it had absolutely no redeeming qualities.

I liked Buried. Would I buy it "No", the replay value is zero. Ryan I thought did a great job in his performance, the director cinematographer did a sensational job at coming up with different angles to shoot considering the whole thing takes place in a box. The audio was fantastic giving a more immersive experience to being stuck underground in a coffin.
Did I think there was going to be more to it than there was "Yes", but I wasn't terribly disappointed.
I was waiting for something like this as a ending

I agree with your spoiler. I have some questions regarding the movie, two inconsistencies/errors in the filming. Spoilers below:

[Show spoiler]In one scene when Paul is on his cell, it's upside down, but in the very next frame it's held correctly. Also later on in the scene with the snake, with the flask he was drinking from early on, it had a captive top on it that prevent the top from falling off, yet later in the movie it falls of and catches the attention of the snake.

Am I missing something or were those two parts intentional? They were way too obvious for anyone to miss.

I noticed that also.
[Show spoiler]The snake sequence I could have done without. My girlfriend kept saying to just try and climb out knowing that he is somewhat close to the surface, especially when all else fails

It does have some great use of sound. I think most would agree who have seen it will say the sound was great considering the environment it takes place in.

Yeah I know what your talking about but you must have missed it.
[Show spoiler]Right after he is told to put in on a Ringtone about 2-3mins later he switches it back out of frustration. Not sure why he did that but he did.

did anyone else notice in this movie, when it's completely dark, that the picture isn't completely pure black? There some greyish "shapes" in a few spots, whenever it's completely dark. Anyone else notice this?

Watched 'Buried' (RedBox rental) yesterday with my wife. Wow, what an intense movie! Real edge-of-the-seat stuff! Definitely not for the claustrophobic!

I disagree that this doesn't have a good rewatchability factor. It would be FUN to show it to friends, just to watch them squirm in their seats!

I'm not sure why everyone says this has little to no replay value, I've already watched it twice and would have no problem popping it in whenever I'm unsure of what I want to watch. Even knowing everything that happens, it's still a great film.
