Could this be related to the BP oil spill? I've read that it is still leaking away - spilling out of cracks in the pressurized sea floor. They've dumped massive amounts of their "cover-up" chemical, Corexit (extremely toxic), into the ocean. It breaks up oil slicks, but at the same time, it sends all the oil beneath the surface; to the bottom of the ocean.
I'm sure that some part of this has to do with sea currents carrying the oil and toxic Corexit. Many people in the gulf have seen oil in rainwater. |

I wouldn't rule anything out, but I think that any toxins present in these animals would have been found by now and cited as the likely contributor to their deaths. On the other hand, there is almost no scientific data available on Corexit, so the long-term side effects on marine life or humans, if any, are unknown. Let's not firget that Corexit was also used during the Exxon Valdez oil spill, and those that handled this solvent/dispersant experienced health issues, though the quantity used wasn't disclosed and I don't remember if it affected birds and fishes in this manner.

You know, it's definitely a weird event...But honestly, if it wasn't for our media non of us would really know this was happening all over the world. Scientists admit that mass die-offs do happen regularly, but our society is so "end of the world" crazy sometimes that they'll take events and make them all inter connected

There is always some simple and unremarkable explanation that's overlooked in human interest piece like this. They love playing the mystery angle, so often times media outlets have little concern for accuracy or validity of such reports. They're human interest items, so they often misconstrue or fail to even verify what really happened in the interest of making a cute story. Usually when a story says something like "scientists baffled" scientists really aren't baffled, it's just that there is either no phenomenon to consider or not enough data on which to draw a conclusion.
A comment posted regarding the California event mentioned above: "An eye-witness SAW the birds fly en-masse into a Big Rig according to Sonoma County authorities." Commercial fireworks set off in a residential neighborhood (celebrating NYE) could very well scare a flock of birds, especially if the flock is huge due to seasonal migration. The two examples show that the deaths have the same cause: not the end of the world, but the fact that animals traveling in flocks or herds are more likely to die in larger groups than those that travel solo. That isn't to say there can't be environmental causes locally, but I don't see any evidence to suggest anything is happening on a global scale. Last edited by repete66211; 01-13-2011 at 08:34 PM. |

I thought something like this happened in colorado in early 2000 ( possibly starlings) but diagnose unknown.
There is the revealings aspect of (when birds fall from the sky and fish leap from the water) and so on. Whether this is a artificial or synthetic event or natural effect to (produce a end times event is unknown) but the process known as harrp or high aurora research project has been noted as to create a effect such as this according to a book written on it and of course late nite (coast to coast) radio. |

I am not a conspiracy theorist, but all the explanations I have heard make me believe more and more that no one has a clue what is going on. And if they do they aren't telling us. All their excuses reek of BS. I just hope if they do know something they tell us in time for us to do something. If not there will be hell to pay.
