I would rather watch In The Bedroom which is a great film that deals with grief...speaking of which: Criterion? What say you give In The Bedroom some of that fine treatment of yours?
+1 for the Prologue.

Watched the first hour of "The Naked Kiss" last night, and the entire time, I couldn't help but think what a huge influence Fuller must have been for Quentin Tarrantino....... I enjoy Tarrantino's films (I know he's polarizing) and look at it as him "paying homage" to different styles, directors, films, etc..... and not so much "stealing" but nonetheless.... I felt like I was watching a film directed by Tarrantino's father! The similarities were amazing.

I'm sure someone more abreast with Tarrantino information will dig up a quote from him about Fuller being an influence, or perhaps a director's commentary somewhere..... but either way, just thought I'd point this out as it might enhance the viewing experience for some, and ruin it for others.

Looks like my Double Life might get here by Monday. I've never received anything early so maybe this is a first.

Yes.

This guy is the designer of many of them. I love his work. While there are people on this site who complain about cardboard packaging (although others who won't buy a title unless it comes in a slipcase), I think his work demonstrates the creativity and quality that can be achieved with board packaging that can't really be achieved with a standard plastic case.

Just thought I'd ask if there are any 'shoe-in' purchases coming up for new Criterion releases (for those of us who can't buy everything right away)

So far I have Fear and Loathing & Fish Tank on pre-order.

Should there be anything else?

Thanks for the wisdom!

Is anyone becoming a "fan" of the CC titles here on this site?

Seems superfluous to me.

Tarantino's a massive fan. Not only does he reference films like "Shock Corridor" and "Underworld USA" in "Pulp" and others, but the very last credit on "Jackie Brown" simply says "Samuel Fuller - Thanks for EVERYTHING." Also, theres apparently an extra of him freaking out when allowed to visit Fuller's archives on the new "Corridor" blu, but I haven't seen it/can't confirm.

Fuller influenced Godard influenced Tarantino.

We should get a movie that has Sam Fuller acting in it. Hmmmm, where should we find that? Hmmmm, Oh I know! Hopper's The Last Movie. Yeah!

What about The Double Life Of Veronique? Will it be a digipack as well or just a regular case?

There was a picture of it from Criterion, and I think it was a plastic case.

You are correct, sir! Also, I hope everyone knows that the blu-ray booklet will be missing essays that were in the DVD booklet.
