i apologize in advance since i'm sure this is a repeated question but do all Criterion releases come in the clear plastic cases now? are there any that sill come in cardboard cases?

They come in all different kinds of packages/cases. But no, not all is in plastic.

I understood the film to be a somewhat visual representation of what it is to grieve...but it seemed much more forced than anything else, if that makes sense. Watched the first hour of "The Naked Kiss" last night, and the entire time, I couldn't help but think what a huge influence Fuller must have been for Quentin Tarrantino....... I enjoy Tarrantino's films (I know he's polarizing) and look at it as him "paying homage" to different styles, directors, films, etc..... and not so much "stealing" but nonetheless.... I felt like I was watching a film directed by Tarrantino's father! The similarities were amazing.

I'm sure someone more abreast with Tarrantino information will dig up a quote from him about Fuller being an influence, or perhaps a director's commentary somewhere..... but either way, just thought I'd point this out as it might enhance the viewing experience for some, and ruin it for others.

Yes.

This guy is the designer of many of them. I love his work. While there are people on this site who complain about cardboard packaging (although others who won't buy a title unless it comes in a slipcase), I think his work demonstrates the creativity and quality that can be achieved with board packaging that can't really be achieved with a standard plastic case.

So far I have Fear and Loathing & Fish Tank on pre-order.

Tarantino's a massive fan. Not only does he reference films like "Shock Corridor" and "Underworld USA" in "Pulp" and others, but the very last credit on "Jackie Brown" simply says "Samuel Fuller - Thanks for EVERYTHING." Also, theres apparently an extra of him freaking out when allowed to visit Fuller's archives on the new "Corridor" blu, but I haven't seen it/can't confirm.
