Default Essential Blu-rays that belong in everyone's collection.

The Wizard of Oz is a prime example. Anyone else?

I'd have to say Death Proof, Apocalypto, and Inception. The movies just kick ass.

Avatar. Even if you disliked the film, you can't deny its technical achievement.

Nice to see someone throw out Sling Blade too. And if I ruled the world, everyone would import the Australian version of American Psycho. (even Australians)

Most have already been said, but based on my collection I think

The Dark Knight
The Godfather Part 1 and 2
Inception
The Wizard of Oz
and the Twilight Zone TV Series

are essential in any Blu-ray collection. I also might throw in Michael Jackson's This Is It.

Well then I'd say the Planet of the Apes set doesn't belong in any collection. 3 sequels is laughable!
