May I suggest NHT speakers? Very underrated ..but some of the cleanest sound I've heard!!

My cousin is a high end home theater installer and even he swears by them.

because of my employment, im able to save money on definitive technology, klipsch, vienna acoustic, and martin logan.

i went back again and almost hated the klipsch rf82's. the def techs sounded a bit better then the vienna's, i felt in a movie like dts-ma demo.

Have you decided not to consider the ML's? Clarity's would cost you about the same as the BP7002BLA.

i was listening to the Martin logans and the seem very directional which would screw over anyone else watching movies with me. those were electostatic speakers however.

Yes, all but the least expensive ML's are hybrid electrostats (they have cone woofers), and they do have a sweet spot, though it's large enough to encompass more than one person. I think bootman's got the best idea: If at all possible, take the speakers home and listen to them there before you make a final decision. You're planning to spend a fair amount of money for a pretty nice system and you'll make the best decision in your own listening room.

If you look at my signiture running a similar system. I also would give the elites a trial. you could get a 94 txh for about the same as the 3808. i compared the 2808 and 91txh side by side and loved the elite with the def techs. just my opinion though. your ears are in charge!!!

While the OP can't get NHT at a discount, I still want to second this for anyone else reading who is interested in buying speakers. I have NHT speakers and they are amazing in every way.
