Spent quite a bit in the last 6 months. Getting the slipcovers now for the blu-rays later is a good idea. Also had to get a new laptop, so time to stop buying movies for a while.

The copy of Metropolis came w/ a slipbox. I heard that it was supposed to be lenicular, the one I bought was just a plain box? Very confused, are there two different versions of the slipbox?

The Almost Famous slipcover is gorgeous. Oh... And the film is one of my all-time favorites.

Watching it on blu-Ray now! I've never seen the director's cut before.

I always buy the movies first. I got one slipcover (aside from the UK slips) before I bought the movie. I ended up buying it cheap and it had the slipcover so I wasted the money on something I don't need now.

I'd blind buy Almost Famous but I have a feeling I won't like it

Sure it does, but I don't fancy paying $20+ for a movie just to get the slip at release. I'll buy it when it drops to $7-9. But slips aren't there forever, so get it first.

I don't fancy hunting for slips when it's no longer available months from now and paying through my nose just to complete my collection.

Common sense really.

I remember when I first watched it I didn't care much for it. Once I got older and my film palette grew this movie is great.

If it were me then yes. All I have is the slipcover and would love to have the blu as it's OOP I believe. Good luck.

With how much praise it gets I feel like I might as well but I'm still undecided. I may go tomorrow and just use a RZ coupon or two because I was planning on getting two or three other movies

I know for sure that FMF does not have a slip. I bought it day 1 when it was released.

How do you get these slips? You wouldn't be buying slipped blus then returning them slipless would you ?
