Terry Gilliam had one moment of glory, and that was "Time Bandits". ![]() Everything else was just a pale imitation, the Baron especially included. And call me unimaginative, but I voted for #2: #3's more "creative", but 2 has more comfortable associations with the movie we remember. And that Sony's releasing it at all is good news, since I've learned that for whatever new format comes out--DVD, PSP, Superbit, downloads, what have you--we can expect six mandatory "iconic" Sony back-catalog titles to be first out of the gate, as sacred tradition: Spiderman, Fifth Element, Resident Evil, Baron Munchhausen, Labyrinth/Dark Crystal, and Monty Python & the Holy Grail. We have now reached the Fourth Ritual Plateau, now BRING ON THE OTHER TWO! ![]() |
