Amazon.it has some good deals on German Steels right now. I picked up District 9 for 10.78 Euros and Terminator 3 for 8.89 Euros.

They already have good prices on their web page, but once you put them in the basket and attempt to check out, the prices lower even more.

Mike most other Amazon sites, their shipping is a flat fee (14 Euros) so the more you order, the more you offset the shipping charge.

After shipping and currency conversion my order came out to about $45 USD. Not bad for two sweet Steels, if you ask me.

That is not good to hear. Hopefully the Steels I ordered show up intact.

I know Amazon.fr will ship amarays in place of steels. Are there any other Amazon sites to avoid when looking for deals?

The more you order the less the chance of received damaged Steels. Never place an order with a single Steelbook as eco-packaging they use can easily damage the Steelbook. Also, please make sure your order isn't split into multiple shipments with 1 Steel each. Package with 3 or more Steelbooks should arrive safe.

If there is a problem or if your order requires amendment, you need to go through a possible hellride with their customer service who seem clueless most of the time.

Otherwise, they operate like amazon.de or amazon.fr.

To whom it may concern

Most of the Paramounts from Germany that were released a couple of months ago have dropped in price to only 12,97 on AZ.de (w/ the exception of Transformers, which is still 17,99 & Shooter, which is a whopping 14,97 EU)

Titles include Black Rain, Cloverfield, Collateral, Disturbia, Eagle Eye, Event Horizon, Spiderwicks, War of the Worlds, Watchmen, & Tropic Thunder
...NCFOM also, though IMO the Steel from CA is much nicer

Usually they'll send you a generic msg stating that their prices are always fluctuating & that they're always trying to give you the best deal, but that since your order has already shipped, they can't do anything for you

It nvr hurts to send them an email asking politely if they can help you out, but I wouldn't get your hopes up, friend

I think most of us that order stuff on at least a semi-regular basis have received something that gets marked dwn the very nxt week, but if it's a really drastic markdown (like $15-20+) I've heard ppl write about them making an exception

It really can't hurt asking though... just remember that you catch more flies w/ honey

We may not get very many Steels here in the US, & we usually have to import most of them & pay lots in shipping costs, but we should be thankful that at least duties & import fees are not really an issue

I think Canada & the UK are the ones that get it the worst
